Fred again.. is coming to Australia & New Zealand

Taking place alongside his highly-anticipated performances at Laneway Festival 2023, Fred will stage intimate performances at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Melbourne’s Forum and Wellington’s Shed 6. Fans are urged to be quick to avoid disappointment – tickets to these exclusive shows are strictly-limited and will sell out.

Fred again.. may have needed introduction a year ago, but now his reputation precedes him. Whether you’re listening to his Actual Life trilogy, or his iconic Boiler Room set, everything Fred does is to the maximum.

Fred channels the ups and downs of life in ways seldom found in dance music. The Actual Life trilogy, his first solo albums, are musical diary entries – reflecting certain time periods in Fred’s life and full to the brim of sampled vocals from friends, collaborators and people met along the way. Carlos, for instance, is a construction worker Fred met after a show in Atlanta. His voice rings through the trilogy, a joyous Southern drawl proclaiming “I want you to see me, friend”, transformed across Actual Life into dance floor bangers that at times bring a tear to the eye. Each record is an expert exercise in composition, sampling and masterful production, spanning April 14 2020 to September 9 2022, contextualising what has undoubtedly been a difficult but enlightening period.
