6 Exciting Ideas For A Birthday Party

by the partae May 12, 2022
written by the partae

A birthday party is a great opportunity to let your child celebrate with their friends. It’s also a chance for you to get creative and come up with some unique ideas that will make the party extra special. Also, don’t forget to capture the memories with some fun photos! Here are 6 exciting ideas for a birthday party that will be sure to please.

1. Gel ball blasters

Have a blast with friends and family at your birthday party by renting gel ball blasters. This activity is safe for all ages and super fun! Additionally, it’s a great way to get everyone moving around and enjoying the outdoors. If you want, you can even set up teams and have a little competition going.

Gel blasters are available for rent at most birthday party venues. If you end up buying some for your kids, expect to pay around $200. Also if it ever breaks, gel ball parts aren’t too hard to find and replace. It’s a great activity for both boys and girls! This is an activity that will have everyone at the party talking about how much fun they had.

2. Bouncy castle

A bouncy castle is always a big hit with the kids! They’ll have a ton of fun bouncing around and playing games. Just make sure to set up the castle in a safe area away from any sharp objects or obstacles that could cause injury. Bouncy castles can be rented from most birthday party venues or you can purchase one for around $300.

Additionally, many companies will deliver and set up the castle for you. It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained for hours on end! If you have younger kids, consider getting a smaller bouncy castle that’s designed specifically for them. This way, they can safely enjoy the fun without getting lost in a sea of bigger kids.

3. Piñata

A piñata is a classic birthday party activity that’s always a hit with the kids! They’ll love taking swings at the piñata and seeing what goodies fall out. Just make sure to set up the piñata in a safe area away from any obstacles or sharp objects. Piñatas can be purchased from most party stores or you can make your own. If you want to save some money, you can fill the piñata with candy that you already have around the house. The kids will still have a blast!

Additionally, many companies offer piñata rental services. This is a great option if you don’t want to deal with the mess of breaking open a piñata. It’s also a good way to avoid any potential accidents.

4. DIY photo booth

Creating a DIY photo booth is a great way to add some extra fun to your birthday party. It’s also a great way to capture all the memories from the day! All you need is a camera, some props, and a few backdrop options. If you want, you can even set up a photo booth in your backyard or at a nearby park. This is a great activity for both kids and adults! Just make sure to have someone designated to be in charge of taking the photos.

Otherwise, things can get chaotic pretty quickly. Additionally, you’ll need to have a plan for storing all the photos after the party. Otherwise, they’ll likely just end up getting lost on someone’s phone.

5. Scavenger hunt

Send the kids on a fun scavenger hunt around the house or backyard! This is a great way to get them moving and burn off some energy. You can hide small toys or candy around the party area for them to find. Just make sure to create a list of items for them to find beforehand. Otherwise, they’ll likely just end up running around in circles! Scavenger hunts are great for both boys and girls. They’re also a good activity for parties with larger groups of kids.

6. Movie night

Having a movie night is a great way to wind down after a busy day of celebrating. It’s also a good option if you have younger kids who might not be able to handle staying up too late. Just pop some popcorn, grab some snacks, and queue up their favorite movie. Then, let them relax and enjoy the show! Movie nights are also a great opportunity to bond with your kids.

You can snuggle up together and watch their favorite movie while they eat popcorn and snacks. Just make sure to have some blankets and pillows on hand. Otherwise, it might not be as comfortable!

These are just a few ideas to get you started. With a little creativity, you can easily come up with even more fun birthday party activities! Just make sure to put safety first and have a blast! These were just a few ideas to get you started.

Top Ideas For Beautiful and Elegant Wedding Rings You’ll Love

by the partae May 3, 2022
written by the partae

If you have decided to take the greatest step in your life and ask your partner to spend eternity with you, the next thing on the list is to carefully plan a romantic marriage proposal. You should view this event, or better said, this moment, as a project that demands in-detail planning. Finding a perfect engagement ring is the first thing on the list, and it must be thoughtful, suitable, and meaningful. This is a piece of jewelry your partner will wear forever, so you must make a perfect pick. Luckily, there is a whole bunch of engagement ring ideas. So, no matter if you want to go with diamonds or some other gemstones, silver, gold, or platinum, you should not be worried that you will fail to find the ring your partner will absolutely adore, and here are some top designs to have in mind.

Diamond Rings

Women definitely love diamonds, and brides who want to be noticed will consider diamond wedding bands. There is something about diamonds, and the beautiful designs of these rings will make you fall in love with them. The best thing about diamond rings is their universal nature that will simply fit any style. If your future bride is into a minimalistic style, then they will be happy with plain bands and solitaire diamonds. If your fiancée craves attention, however, she will prefer halo engagement rings with large stones and patterned bands. Diamond rings come in various designs, with bigger and small stones, two-toned metals, and double paved bands. Your perfect pick depends solely on your bride’s taste.

Rings with Twisted Bands

If you want to add a bit of complexity to the ring and symbolize your love for the finest, then you should consider getting twisted bands. The deep meaning behind these bands is endless love and commitment, indicating infinite romance, and moments of love you will revive over and over again. Yet, this effective style is quite versatile and will let you play with different designs. The twisted band design goes well with any metal and stone, and you can pick the variation that will suit you the best. If you are more into simple designs, then you should consider getting a clean round-up twist. However, if you choose drama and sophistication, then double paved twisted bands with a big stone are the right picks for your wishes.

Simple Engagement Rings

Nothing can beat simplicity. If you like the sophisticated and elegant style and understand the essence of simplicity, huge stones and sparkles will not be your thing. There are many beautiful and simple engagement ring designs that will definitely match your style. If you want to make a perfect pick, then you should consider getting a simple, plain band with solitaire or round stone. Alternatives to this are metal colors and shapes such as princess, cushion, or trillion. Any of these are simple and elegant, leaving the impression of class and unmatched elegance.

Solitaire Center Stone Rings

These are classic picks when it comes to engagement rings, and this is because of a variety of reasons. These rings are rich and extravagant, immediately catch attention, and are the epitome of the bridal style. This ring is a perfect choice for every bride no matter the style and is unique because of the stone that is the focal point of the ring. This is the top engagement ring regardless of the shape you opt to. It does not matter if you take emerald, radiant, oval, pear, marquise shape, you will get the highest class, sparkle, and brilliance with this design.

Unique Engagement Ring Ideas

Loads of things contribute to the unique spirit of an engagement ring. Things such as stone, cuts, bands, and design, in general, can make it look unmatched. Unique engagement rings are a perfect choice for brides who are out of the frame and have authentic personalities. If you want to make your engagement ring stand out, then you should consider vintage designs and colorful gemstones, adding a bit of personality to the design.

Who Said It Should Be a Diamond?

You do not have to be pressured to get super expensive diamonds, despite the fact that diamonds are indeed girls’ best friends. Instead, you can get crystals such as amethyst, sapphire, or beautiful soft pearls. If you think that this ring will not be enough, you are so wrong. Engagement rings with crystals and pearls are equal in beauty to diamonds and will last for generations.

When choosing a perfect engagement ring, you need to go for a classy, sophisticated, and elegant design. You need to make the pick that will make your girl’s finger shine and make your most important day a wonderful one.

The Plane Sailors

by the partae May 2, 2022
written by the partae

Where are you currently based?

Brisbane.

How did the band come about?

We wanted to play together for a bit of fun while at uni, then I think we realised we could do some cool things if we tried hard. So here we are shooting our shot.

What’s been happening recently?

We are in the process of writing EP #2 and we are nearly finished. Recording has already started and we are looking to get several new tracks out by the end of 2022. Plenty of gigs on the horizon too – cause that’s the best part.

Your new EP ‘Wouldn’t Be So Lucky’ is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting?

Each song on this EP aims to serve a purpose and is really a blend of 2-3 songs that we wanted to sound like. The artists we were influenced by stretch from The Beards, Foo Fighters, Pity Sex, Free Throw and Phoenix just to name a few. Each one definitely came out sounding like a Plane Sailors song which is something we are really proud of.

How did you go about writing the EP?

It was written in bits and pieces over a period of time where the band had really fallen flat. We were trying to write new music every week, but these are the songs that really stuck out and motivated us to keep pushing because honestly they were pretty good – we had never been able to say this before.

Where and when did you record/produce/master and who did you work with?

We made it ourselves, in the worst room imaginable. Spent the life savings on gear and just went for it.

How did you approach the recording process?

Sporadically. Never really got a smooth run going, but better luck next time I guess.

Favourite tracks?

Bell Curve & The Sights.

Who are you listening to at the moment? Nothing but The Hotelier and Enter Shikari. Funnily enough our new music is going to sound very much like the Hotelier and Enter Shikari.

What do you like to do away from music?

All of us like hanging out and staying pretty active together. A lot of us in the band do rock climbing together as well as boxing. We try to play board games at least once per month too, to keep the competitive spirit alive and well.

What’s planned for the remainder of 2022?

We have some of the coolest shows we may ever get to play coming up and it’s pretty exciting. Also some diverse new music.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

We have a pre-gig tradition of Langos from a shop in the valley, so that’s probably the band’s favourite. We usually hang out in our rehearsal space, we are really lucky to have it and it’s just sparks inspiration even if we aren’t doing music stuff.

HOME INSURANCE CLAIMS COSTING AUSTRALIANS ALMOST $5 BILLION A YEAR

by the partae April 27, 2022
written by the partae

New research conducted by Honey Insurance reveals the value of home insurance claims made by Australians last year  totalled $4.9 billion, with these claims leaving individuals around $1,000 out-of-pocket per claim.

Honey is Australia’s latest Insuretech on a mission to disrupt the AU$10 billion insurance industry, currently dominated by a  small number of traditional players. Introducing smart sensor technology and proactive solutions in response to the rising  cost of insurance premiums.

Key findings from research conducted by YouGov in April 2022 revealed:

  • 3.3million Aussies with home insurance (30%) have made at least one claim within the past 12 months  ● A third (34%) feel regretful that they didn’t take necessary action to avoid the claim
  • More than half of Australians with home insurance (52%) believe their current home and contents insurer does  nothing to proactively keep their homes safe, despite sinking an average of $1,386 of their hard-earned cash into  them every year.
  • A further three in four (76%) would like insurance companies to be a lot smarter and help them proactively keep  their homes safe so that they pay as much in claims.
  • 85% look for easy to understand policies
  • Three quarters of Australians with home insurance don’t schedule in home maintenance checks, with half a million  Aussies admitting to avoiding any maintenance or repairs until there’s an urgent need.
  • Nearly 50% of home claims are avoidable and utilising in-home sensor technology would significantly reduce  home claims incidents.
  • The top three home insurance claims are due to water leakage (27%), fire (23%) and storm (22%); just some of the  mishaps smart technology can prevent by alerting potential issues before the damage is done.
  • One of the biggest risks homeowners can face is underinsurance. Regulator ASIC found up to 80% of Australian  households could be underinsured1
  • Only 39% of Australians with home insurance have any kind of smart technology (most common: external camera,  video doorbells) to assist with security or prevention of claims

Founded by entrepreneur Richard Joffe, the co-founder and CEO of US-based Park Assist and Stella.ai, Honey launched in  Australia in 2021 with $15.5 million in financial backing from its underwriting partner RACQ and other institutional  investors. Surprised by Australia’s “nascent” insurtech industry, Joffe believes Australians “deserve a sweeter deal,” which  is why he has named it Honey Insurance.

Richard Joffe, Founder and CEO of Honey Insurance further explains, “Honey invests in our customers upfront to  protect them with technology, which we feel is just as important as helping with a claim. We want to show Australians how  smart technology can reduce risk in their lives, and also blow them away with ease of use. Honey is making home insurance  as easy as ordering an Uber or finding a show on Netflix”

https://asic.gov.au/about-asic/news-centre/find-a-media-release/2016-releases/16-053mr-asic-calls-for-further improvements-from-home-insurers/

To bring to life its mission of turning the insurance industry on its head, Honey has created ‘Honey House,’ a 60 foot square  metre, 8.5 tonne upside down home with seven conceptual interactive rooms designed to give Australians a glimpse into the  future of insurtech.

The activation creatively demonstrates the brand’s disruptive approach, offering an immersive and exciting space whilst also  drawing attention to areas of the home that are most at risk of claim. The interior features suspended furniture, daring decor,  mirrored optical illusions and modified household items for consumers to engage with.

Emma Delaney, Honey House interior designer explains, “the design process for Honey House came from looking at the  brand ethos and building an interior space that would reflect this in a futuristic and conceptual way whilst remaining fun,  youthful, and stylish.

Having most of the furniture suspended on the roof allows for the user to see more clearly into the obscure places you might  need to have sensors and further highlights the need for proactive insurance not reactive insurance.”

Honey House Activation

The free immersive experience opens in Sydney to the general public from Friday, 22nd April until 26th April at the Sydney  Cove Overseas Passenger Terminal, before relocating to Queensland and Melbourne. Bookings can be made online via  Eventbrite.

About Honey:  Honey is smart home insurance, and is on a mission to eliminate the majority of avoidable accidents that happen in the home.  Customers receive $250 of technology complimentary, and ongoing services to keep homes safer when they sign up for house  and contents insurance. They are then rewarded with a lower price on their insurance for being proactive. Honey raised $15.5m,  the largest seed investment in Australian tech history at the time, from industry leaders such as AGL, Metricon, Mirvac, PEXA,  and many others. Honey is underwritten by RACQ, one of the most trusted insurance companies in Australia.

Wanderers

by the partae February 8, 2022
written by the partae

Where are you currently based?

We are all currently based in Adelaide, South Australia

How did Wanderers form?

We formed on stage during a jam night at the ‘Grace Emily Hotel’ in Adelaide. After improvising our way through a couple of Dusty’s songs a few weeks in a row we decided to make a record and give ourselves a name. It flowed pretty organically as we launched onto the local scene and it all grew from there.

What’s been happening recently?

Both Dusty and I got Covid, so that was fun haha, and we just released an EP! So that has been a big part of our lives recently.

Your self titled EP is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting?

There’s many many musical influences that come from all of the guys. We all listen to a lot of different types of music and play a lot of different music individually, but we always come together and create our unique sound.  We are always sending each other different songs or records.

How did you go about writing the EP?

The process with Wanderers is that the songs are generally written to a certain point where they have solid outlines, then do the colouring in with the guys in the rehearsal room. This is usually when the bridge sections are written and the arrangements are refined. It also helps complete lyrics this way, sometimes improvising them over the top of the band as we refine the songs.

Some of them were written while we were away on a tour in a hotel room with an acoustic guitar or little battery powered keyboard.

Where and when did you record/produce/master and who with?

It was a very spread out process. Some of the tracks were written over 2 years ago, and also recorded long ago. But some in the most recent times while in Covid. We have a great recording studio here in Adelaide called Wundenbergs, So we pretty much always record most of the songs there. I also got my own little studio where we did lots of the keyboard parts and vocals. Molly was mixed by a great guy here in Australia Jackson Barclay, he pretty much mixed all our music up until the point of this EP. Make It On My Own was mixed by a Melbourne engineer called Julian Schweitzer. The rest of the tracks were mixed by Keith Jeffery from a band called Atlas Genius. All mastered by Joe La’Porta at Sterling Sound In NYC.

You’ll be touring in April/May where are you headed and what do you have planned?

We have a little trip to the USA for SXSW just before the Australia tour. We are headed to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and of course, a big show at home in Adelaide.

Hopefully these will be some of our best shows. Some bigger venues and better production than our previous shows. Also, maybe a taste of some new songs!

Who are you listening to at the moment?

It’s all pretty random but lots of RnB style music at the moment :

Silk Sonic

Anderson .Paak

John Mayer’s new stuff

Also been loving Yebba lately

What do you like to do away from music?

Music is pretty much central to all that we do!

What’s in store for 2022?

Lots of new music and hopefully plenty for shows and touring in Australia and overseas.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

Favourite place to hang would still be where the band was formed, The Grace Emily Hotel. And definitely can’t go wrong with late night Chinese food.

Robert Adam ‘Don’t Touch My Rhinestones’ Premiere

by the partae February 6, 2022
written by the partae
Sporting western Canada’s iconic white stetson and illuminated in rodeo crystal, Robert Adam crafts records with a reverent respect for traditional country music, while infusing an accessible, modern tone – and one thing is guaranteed, Robert is the most gritty, pretty cowboy you’ve seen.

“Don’t Touch My Rhinestones”, will be his second single release on the road to his long awaited “Baby Blue” EP. This song is sure to highlight his sweet and salty vocals bedazzled with a message of standing one’s own ground and finding self empowerment. Robert Adam serves lyrics of sharp wit, and supreme sass on a platter of old school outlaw country. Timeless guitar tones, wailing pedal steel guitar, full girl group background vocals, eccentric wurlitzer, honey toned B3 all lay out the stage to Robert’s fierce sweet and salty lead vocals. Gleaning on a clear inspiration from old school seventies country, Rob’s prairie queer aura shines like a star, and sets a modern tone of inclusivity for both seasoned country listeners and those who may not have been welcomed by the genre in the past.

Whether it’s rhinestoning his outfit or graduating with honours, he is anything but one dimensional.

Teenage Mutants

by the partae February 3, 2022
written by the partae

Where are you currently based?

We are based in Frankfurt Germany.

How did Teenage Mutants form?

We have been friends for over 18 years now. We came together through early rave experiences in Frankfurt and started DJing around 2002 and some years later began to produce tracks. So 2010 we started the Project ‘Teenage Mutants’ with no idea where it was headed!

What’s been happening recently?

We are still in the pandemic so we are producing a lot of music and from time to time we have the luck to play a gig. Hopefully 2022 will be the change we need to get back to normal DJ Life.

Please tell us about your current projects:

End of 2020 we started our own label „TRAGEDIE“ a music and fashion brand. This takes most of the time at the moment. Beside this and Teenage Mutants we running an Event and Artist Agency called ‘Wir Sind Verboten’. We are running events in Germany, Europe and around the world.

What influences your sound and songwriting?

Mostly the 80’s. The melodies and baselines from that time are always a good inspiration to create something new. We don’t produce after rules. We make our own techno sound.

How do you usually go about writing music?

Mostly we start with a drum groove and just let it go. Synths and Sounds will be added step by step just how with the flow, how we will it.

How’s the overseas scene been treating you?

OZ was always a great experience. Actually one of the best countries to travel and to play. People are always smiling and having a good time. Really excited to come back.

You’re coming to Melbourne to play Shelter Festival, what do you have in store for this show?

We have 3 new EPs which are ready to be tested on the big floor. They will show the people our way of techno music.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

The Dream Academy – New Light

What do you like to do away from music?

Good Food and Good Wine.

What’s planned for 2022?

To play a lot of gigs and release our music and of course to play Shelter at Sea Works in Melbourne on 2 April!

LISTEN TO ‘HI-VIS BABY’ HERE
PRE-ORDER DEBUT ALBUM LOVE BOREDOM BICYCLES HERE

New Zealand’s Bakers Eddy today drop their new single ‘Hi-Vis Baby’ ahead of the release of their debut album Love Boredom Bicycles out 25th March 2022. An ode to singer Ciarann Babbington’s bike riding lifestyle, ‘Hi-Vis Baby’ is a tightly-wound, sharply written, highspeed blast of nostalgia-laced indie rock.

Speaking on the new single, singer Ciarann said: “The song’s just about riding my bike. Unfortunately it’s not metaphorical, I just really like riding my bike and I hate it when dickheads in 4×4’s [“If you’re in a four wheel drive, You can fuck off”] cut you off and run you off the road. The words were originally supposed to be placeholders but after we demo’d the song I started listening to it while riding and it felt badass so we kept them in.”

The band went on to say: “We really tried to pull some nostalgic energy into the song, particularly in the chorus. We were influenced by bands like Joy Division and Pixies who are masters at weird melancholic gut-turning nostalgia – but we added a really chaotic surfy beat. We also channelled the Beach Boys with the backing vocals, which I had to record on my hands and knees to hit, it’s so high.”

‘Hi-Vis Baby’ is another taste of band’s upcoming debut album Love Boredom Bicycles. Produced by Holy Holy’s Oscar Dawson, Bakers Eddy capture the exuberant spirit of youth, with good times coursing through its veins. Everything sounds effortless for singer Ciarann Babbington and his bandmates: twin brothers, guitarist Alex and bassist Ian Spagnolo, and drummer Jamie Gordon. Living together in sharehouse in Melbourne, Bakers Eddy’s music is bursting with youthful energy, swagger, a bucket load of hooks and an irresistibly charming sense of humour.

Having been a band since they were 12-year-old kids in Wellington, and now 12 years later all living together having moved to Melbourne, they couldn’t be tighter friends. It’s a closeness they like to bring with them into the studio. Literally. “We’re all in the same room when we’re recording. Like when Jamie’s recording drums, we squeeze in tight around him, in this giant room we’re all in nice and tight and I’m running around Jamie, and just like causing havoc and then we make a point to yell random shit,” says Ciarann. “For this record music came second and bullshit came first,” jokes Ian.

It was all about creating an environment where energy and spirits are high. “Even when we were recording guitar and bass,” says Alex, “we’d all be standing up and hopping along and shit like that, not just sitting there, trying to get everything perfect.” For the band it was about vibe over everything. “We made a point of making it sound more like the demos, cos when the demos were recorded at home we were often having a bit of a party,” says Ciarann. “It’s like, let’s be loud and have some fun.”

We Talk to Josh Sahunta About His New Single ‘This Party Sucks’

by the partae January 16, 2022
written by the partae

Where are you currently based?

Edmonton, Canada.

How did you first start playing music?

I began playing music when I was very young! I was given a toy piano when I was about 3 years old, and I would play Disney songs by ear (I watched a lot of Disney movies). Eventually I was put into piano lessons (which I hated), and then began writing my own songs and singing in high school.

What’s been happening recently?

During the pandemic, I’ve mostly been producing music for other artists, while gearing up to release my own album. For my own music, I’ve been mostly wearing my “business and marketing hat”, so producing art for other musicians has been my creative escape. It’s easily been my busiest year by far!

Your single ‘This Party Sucks’ will be released on January 14, what influenced the sound and songwriting?

The sound of this song was definitely inspired by the likes of Charlie Puth and the new Weeknd stuff. Very moody, upbeat, dance-pop was the vibe for sure. It sounded like a party song, but we didn’t want to just write another party song, so we said “why don’t we make a song about bad parties?”, and that’s how this song was born.

How did you go about writing ‘This Party Sucks’?

I wrote this song with Robbie Jay, who has worked with the likes of JoJo and Conor Maynard, and Edgar Vargas, a producer I was put in touch with through Warner Records. We actually wrote this song over a Zoom session, as Edgar was in L.A. and Robbie was in England at the time. I’ve had to adapt a lot to writing songs over Zoom during the pandemic. Initially I hated it, but over time I grew to almost prefer it, as it’s easier to stay focused and get the job done.

Where and when did you record/produce/master and who with?

I co-produced the song with Edgar Vargas, who sent me the initial instrumental. I added a few things just to give it a bit of a personal touch and we called it a day! I was supposed to go down to L.A. to record my vocals at Edgar’s studio, but due to the pandemic and flight cancellations, I ended up recording the vocals at a studio where I live.

How did you approach the recording process?

The recording process was done in stages. Edgar and I sent the track back and forth with our changes on it, and then I recorded the vocals at Velveteen Audio here in Edmonton, Alberta. It’s crazy to think that even 10 years ago, it would’ve been a lot more difficult to record a song this way. But thankfully, music technology has come far enough to allow me to record and write an album with people I’ve never actually met in person.

What programs/equipment did you use?

The song was produced on Logic Pro, which is the DAW I use for everything. I had the privilege of test-driving a Tube Tech Cl-1B compressor, which has been used on pretty much every hit record you could find today. I recorded my vocals into a Neumann U87 mic, which is just the best all-around mic I’ve ever used. Throw some effects and samples in there and voila!

What do you have planned in support of the single?

There will be a lot of cool visuals accompanying this single! Not entirely sure if I’ll do a full music video yet, but I’m getting a lot of TikTok and IG content done that is extremely high quality and exciting to be releasing! It’ll almost be like a music video broken down into several smaller clips that all add up to one larger narrative! I’ve never tried doing it like this before but it’ll be an exciting experiment.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

Lately, I’ve been loving the new Adele album. It’s so different from what I’ve heard from her before and there are some HUGE songs on that record. I’ve also had the Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson Paak) record on repeat since the day it came out. I cannot remember another album that made me appreciate music this much in a very long time.

What do you like to do away from music?

I’ve acquired many hobbies outside of music over the past few years! For the longest time, if somebody asked me what I enjoy outside of music, I didn’t really know what to say, but since then, I’ve taken up skiing, soccer, hockey, and a few other outdoor activities that have definitely been keeping me busy. I’ve also always loved reading and I’ve read almost 24 books this year! To sum it up, I love trying new things; except skydiving or bungee jumping. I will never try those.

What else do you have planned for 2022?

There’s a lot of album release planning to do and I’m trying to get all of that together as early as possible to prevent any last minute emergencies. Other than that, just spending time with family and friends and making the most out of my favourite holiday, especially after a very difficult year.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

I would say right now, if you were to find me at any food place in my city, it would likely be at a local restaurant called The Next Act. Everything on the menu is incredible (especially their brisket donair), and I spend far too much money eating there. I’m not sure if you have donairs in Australia, but if you don’t I’d love to take you to The Next Act if you ever visit Edmonton!
