Déepalma’s acclaimed Ibiza CD compilation makes its highly anticipated return for the 2024 edition, featuring another meticulously curated and expertly mixed collection by Yves Murasca and Rosario Galati.

In 2023, the iconic German electronic label Déepalma celebrated its tenth anniversary. Since its inception in 2013, the Ibiza-inspired label has evolved into a global powerhouse, blending House, Deep House, and Soul to create a melting pot that resonates with hedonists worldwide. Over the past decade, Déepalma has released over 200 singles and 30 compilation albums across its main imprint, Déepalma Records, and its sister label, Déepalma Soul.

Year after year, label head Yves Murasca and his creative counterpart Rosario Galati meticulously craft three handpicked and intricately mixed sets for the revered ‘Déepalma Ibiza’ compilation. These mixes span three immersive continuous sessions, each reflecting significant atmospheres from the Balearic hotspot.

The first mix, ‘Sunset Moods,’ sets the stage with a perfect soundtrack to capture Ibiza’s breathtaking day-to-night transitions and vibrant blood-orange skies. Featuring tracks from renowned artists such as Carl Cox, Kölsch, Gorge, Afterlife, andhim, and more. Following suit, ‘Pool Party Grooves’ offers an archetypal playlist for poolside lounging, seamlessly blending uplifting house, soulful disco, and Balearic flavors. With tracks from the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Claptone, Butch & Nic Fanciulli, David Penn, GUZ, and others. The third and final mix, ‘Beach Feelings,’ encapsulates the energy of Ibiza’s enchanting white-sand waterfronts. Pittsburgh legend Montell Fish touched down in Melbourne on Friday for the VIC leg of his AUS/NZ Intercession Before Charlotte tour. From the get-go, Fish’s performance was dripping with raw emotion and vulnerability – the guy was bathed in moody lights and a mask, paying homage to his alter-ego DJ Gummy Bear, under which he also drops bangers. Throughout the gig, Fish’s vocals were absolutely top-notch, each song delivered with a powerful yet ethereal falsetto that left the crowd in awe.

Standout moments included “I Know I Failed You” and “Destroy Me Just for You,” which had the crowd absolutely chuffed. The energy was off the charts, with punters cheering and belting out the lyrics, clearly spellbound by Fish’s talent and stage presence. The entire night was a bloody ripper, cementing Fish as a standout artist in today’s music scene. The audience was treated to an unforgettable experience, showcasing the raw and captivating essence of Montell Fish’s artistry. His genuine connection with the crowd through his heartfelt performance made the night extra special, leaving everyone buzzing long after the last note.

Produced by the band with Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, San Cisco), ‘Gravity Stairs’ shows Crowded House in its current incarnation — Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, Mitchell Froom, and Finn’s sons Elroy and Liam.

Speaking about the album title ‘Gravity Stairs’, Neil says the name was inspired by an unnaturally heavy stone staircase near where Neil vacations. “The Gravity Stairs are symbolic of the struggle to ascend, acknowledging the opposing forces of weight on the mechanics of living. It’s an act of will every day.”

Crowded House have sold over 15 million records worldwide as well as earning 13 ARIA Awards, an MTV VMA, and a BRIT Award, the band have generated billions of streams, consistently sold out tours on multiple continents and have been captivating audiences for nearly four decades.

Originally founded by Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, and the late Paul Hester, the group’s self-titled debut in 1986 went platinum, uplifted by iconic smashes ‘Something So Strong‘ and ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over‘ which have been covered by everyone from Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande to U2, among others.
