THE SMITH STREET BAND RELEASE NEW SINGLE & ANNOUNCE HUGE NATIONAL TOUR

by the partae July 30, 2025
written by the partae

Australian punk stalwarts The Smith Street Band today share new single ‘Star Child’. Out on Pool House Records this is the second single from the Naarm / Melbourne band’s forthcoming seventh album.

Of the latest release the band’s lead singer Wil Wagner says, “Star Child is a song about how all life’s twists and turns have led me to a really happy place with a daughter who I love more than anything! It’s about how important things used to feel and how lost I used to be and the perspective gained with age and experiences. The song took on a lot of different directions and formations but I kept coming back to the opening line which is “I’ve seen so many highways” and thinking about how after all of life’s journeys I’ve found myself exactly where I need to be!”

The upcoming new album is the third to be recorded at the band’s off grid studio in regional Victoria and follows critically acclaimed albums Life After Football (triple j Feature Album, 2022) and Don’t Waste Your Anger (ARIA #1, 2020).

Everclear announce ‘Sparkle and Fade’ 30th Anniversary Aus Tour Australia Nov/Dec 2025

by the partae July 30, 2025
written by the partae

Everclear, one of the leading alternative rock bands to emerge from the ‘90s led by vocalist, guitarist and founder Art Alexakis, have announced November / December Australian dates for their Sparkle and Fade 30th Anniversary Tour.

Everclear’s platinum-selling, major-label debut album, had a massive impact in 1995 with its chart-topping hit “Santa Monica,” making Everclear a household name and catapulting the band into the masses. The acclaimed collection – also featuring the singles “Heroin Girl” and “Heartspark Dollarsign” – has been hailed as “a must have for any fan of pop-punk” (Punknews) and “a tough, melodic set of gnarled post-punk hard rock” (AllMusic), with The Rolling Stone Album Guide declaring, “Sparkle and Fade was everything a radio-ready rock record should be: explosive, soul-searching, belligerent.”

Everclear’s 16-date Australian tour will kick off Friday November 21 in Newcastle and travel across the country, with the band performing shows in capital cities and regional areas including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Townsville and Duncraig before wrapping up on Saturday December 13 in Adelaide.

“Sparkle and Fade was not the first album I had made, but it was the album I had wanted to make my whole life. It changed everything for me and Everclear,” shares Alexakis. “Because of its success and lasting impact, this band has survived and prospered for three decades, and this tour celebrating Sparkle and Fade is another way of us saying ‘thank you’ to all of the incredible fans – old and new. We’re excited to bring this tour to Australia. In addition to all the hits and fan favorites, we’re going to pretty much play the whole album through the course of the show to commemorate this 30th anniversary. If you are a fan of this record, you do not want to miss this tour!”

Everclear is: Art Alexakis (vocals, guitar), Davey French (guitar), Freddy Herrera (bass), Brian Nolan (drums)

ABOUT EVERCLEAR

Since forming in 1992, Everclear has enjoyed a lengthy career by any measure, spanning 11 studio releases, including four that have been certified Gold or Platinum in the US, selling over 6 million records, and achieving 12 Top 40 Hit Singles on Mainstream Rock, Alternative, and Adult Top 40 radio, including “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Wonderful” and“Everything To Everyone,” as well as numerous videos, thousands of shows, and various other accolades, including a 1998 Grammy nomination.

The band’s 1993 debut album, World Of Noise, released on the Portland independent label Tim/Kerr Records, paired with their significant efforts to break into college radio and the buzz they’d created within the Portland music scene, attracted the attention of major labels, including Capitol Records, which signed the group soon after and released Sparkle and Fade. To celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary in 2022, Everclear reissued World Of Noise as a special remastered, deluxe edition, making the album available for the first time on digital streaming platforms with 6 bonus songs in addition to its original 12 tracks. Adding to the celebrations that year, Everclear released a commemorative anniversary video “Everclear – 30 Years Gone: A Retrospective,” hosted by former MTV VJ, current radio host and longtime friend Matt Pinfield – PRESS HERE to watch.

In 2023, Everclear released their first official live album, Live at The Whisky a Go Go, showcasing the band’s acclaimed and energetic live performance. The 17-track collection, available via Sunset Blvd Records, features the live recording of the Los Angeles show on Everclear’s 30th Anniversary Tour, showcasing the hits and hidden treasures from throughout the band’s extraordinary catalog as well as two new bonus studio tracks: “Sing Away,” a powerful single addressing teen suicide, and their 2022 politically-charged single “Year Of The Tiger.” Continuing to celebrate their acclaimed decades-long career and provide the band’s dedicated fanbase with long-awaited content, Everclear released their platinum-selling album Songs From An American Movie Vol. One on vinyl for the first time ever in 2024 via Intervention Records.

In addition to his thousands of Everclear performances over the band’s lengthy career, Alexakis released his first solo album, Sun Songs, in 2019. That same year, Alexakis revealed his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis (MS) at the age of 54 and has since donated one dollar from every ticket purchased for his performances to charities such as Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and National MS Society. The now 62-year-old currently appears on the cover of PEOPLE Health (Winter/Spring 2025 issue), where he shares his positive outlook and health routine to keep his symptoms at bay, expressing, “I have a lot of gratitude.” In the story, he also references a deep cut off Sparkle and Fade, originally written for those battling addiction and sobriety, saying, “There’s a song we do called ‘Strawberry’—and the repeating line is ‘Don’t fall down, you’ll never get up.’ It’s a song of hope, really. For me it’s about surrendering to the fact that I have MS and being able to talk about and understand it.” Alexakis shows no signs of slowing down and, more than three decades later, Everclear’s enduring legacy and ongoing appeal as a live band continues.

Excuse For An Exit share rage-fuelled new single “SNAP”

by the partae July 25, 2025
written by the partae

Melbourne dark pop group Excuse For An Exit share a rallying cry of feminine rage and protest with new single “SNAP“.

Fuelled by the rise of fascism in the West, atrocities in Gaza and the Congo, and the suppression of dissenting voices, “SNAP” channels vocalist Edelle Merson’s political frustrations into a powerful alt rock belter. “What began as political frustration quickly intertwined with personal experiences of being pushed too far, until something broke,” says Edelle. “The opening line, ‘It starts slow, I never even felt it, hit low, and I was so above it,’ reflects my own blind spots, how easy it is to miss the signs until they become impossible to ignore.”

Sonically, “SNAP” is a turning point. The single is produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Lalic (Windwaker, RinRin) and marks the first time Excuse for an Exit have incorporated screamed vocals. The band deliver a sound that’s dark and heavy, yet punchy and unapologetically pop, for fans of Grandson, PENI PARKER, Pussy Riot, and MUDRAT. Though the lyrics aren’t overtly political, the emotional core is inseparable from activism. “Emotion is often dismissed as irrational, but to us, it’s part of being fully human. This song is for those who’ve questioned their anger. Sometimes, snapping isn’t losing control, it’s taking it back.”

Excuse for an Exit have fostered an inclusive and alternative community within their local scene since their beginning in 2020. The unwavering support of their dedicated fanbase, as featured in the music video for “ur villain“, remains steadfast as they embark on a transformative sonic journey. Seamlessly blending electronic elements with their signature emo-rock repertoire, the four-piece continue to push boundaries and embrace their evolution.

The band will launch their new track live at Melbourne’s Stay Gold on Saturday 9th August when they play Cordiform‘s 2 Pizza 2 Planet mini-festival, joining Cordiform, A Swift Farewell, Darcy Baker and more. Tickets on sale now.

Excuse for an Exit have steadily built a name for themselves through a string of impressive achievements across the past few years. Earlier this year they performed at the inaugural Siren Sounds, an all femme-fronted and LGBTQI+ mini-festival raising funds for The Red Heart Campaign, and took the reins on their own Lifeline fundraiser, managing, running, and performing two shows that raised $1500 for charity. Their music has amassed over 185,000 streams on Spotify with national airplay on Double J Short.Fast.Loud and triple j Home & Hosed. They’ve cemented themselves as a rising force in Australia’s alternative scene, headlining sold-out BONEZ events in both 2023 and 2024, and headlining and selling out hometown shows across Victoria.

“SNAP” is out now and streaming everywhere.

The sounds of construction have been echoing through Elephant and Castle recently, as Ministry of Sound undergoes a major transformation of its VIP area. Welcome to No Velvet Rope Society – an inclusive new experience designed for true music lovers, with a focus on elevated sound and a new mezzanine overlooking the infamous Box.

Ministry of Sound has unveiled a forward-facing new chapter with its £500,000 transformation – the venue’s first major renovation in 15 years. Guests now enter through a gritty back-alley entrance, a deliberate nod to its raw 90s roots. Inside, a newly built mezzanine offers a high-spec sound experience with direct views into it’s main arena The Box, immersing guests in the iconic Martin Audio sound system that helped make Ministry a global name.

Says Caitlin McAllister, Group Managing Director, Ministry of Sound, “The launch of our new VIP space marks a bold new chapter for Ministry of Sound. This transformation has been a personal passion project of mine for years, and seeing it finally come to life is incredibly special. We’ve literally knocked down walls to open up the space and connect it directly to The Box, creating a seamless, elevated experience that brings guests and artists even closer to the music, the energy, and the atmosphere that define our club. This isn’t just a refurbishment; it’s a reimagining of what a night out should feel like — captivating, electric, and unmistakably Ministry”

No Velvet Rope Society is Ministry of Sound’s fresh take on VIP culture—stripping away the exclusivity in favour of something more meaningful. It’s built for music lovers who want deeper, more connected experiences.

A limited number of founding memberships are available for just £150 a year and include VIP access at all events bar student-only nights, queue jump, birthday Moët with table bookings, 15% off first table spend, and priority access for future reservations.

LIVE NATION’S ONES TO WATCH sets its sights on Byron Bay featuring talented artists DOBBY, LOREN RYAN, DEM MOB and ROX LAVI

by the partae July 23, 2025
written by the partae

Fresh off the back of staging its debut event on the West Coast in Fremantle, Live Nation’s ONES TO WATCH returns to New South Wales, this time posting up in the lush coastal surrounds of Byron Bay. Coming to the iconic Backroom at THE NORTHERN on THURSDAY 24 JULY, this edition of ONES TO WATCH celebrates and amplifies Indigenous Australian excellence, putting the spotlight on four of the country’s most striking names: DOBBY, LOREN RYAN, DEM MOB and ROX LAVI.

A proud Filipino/Murrawurri musician, producer and composer, DOBBY’s musical journey is intrinsically tied with his own journey through young adulthood, into a space where he carries the stories and lessons of his people forward in a way where he is able to impart knowledge onto a new generation of creatives. DOBBY’s sound has seamlessly blended rap with expansive and contemporary arrangements – a fusion that has brought DOBBY Australian and international acclaim. The release of his 2024 album Warrangu: River Story re-established DOBBY as an Australian talent to watch; his personal brand of storytelling breaking open new dialogue around how fascinating and exciting the work of our First Nations artists currently is, and continues to be.

Next on the line-up comes young Gamillaraay woman Loren Ryan, a quickly-rising star in Australia’s country music scene. Winner of the 2023 Toyota Star Maker award, and a nominee of last year’s prestigious Golden Guitar Award for New Talent of the Year, Loren’s journey has seen her performing with the likes of Troy Cassar-Daley, Jessica Mauboy, and harmonising with pop legend Kelly Rowland on The Voice AU. Known for incorporating her mother tongue into her original music as well as renditions of well-known beloved pop songs – with her breathtaking cover of Cold Chisel’s ‘Flame Trees’ having amassed over 707K streams – Loren weaves culture into her art at every turn.

Hailing from the APY lands in the community of Pukatja, DEM MOB are hip hop trailblazers in their own right – they are not only the first hip hop group from their region, but they are the first MCs to rap in Pitjantjajara language. Born out of a desire to empower youth and their community through a powerful connection of culture and music, DEM MOB has become more than just a music group: they are a movement. Their work as musicians has seen them perform internationally – to date, they are the first and only Indigenous Australian artists to have performed at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound – while constant music releases have landed them praise from tastemakers around Australia, including triple j and triple j Unearthed.

22 year old Gomeroi man ROX LAVI has emerged as a fiercely talented young artist in only the last two years. Ipswich born and raised, Rox Lavi (in his words) was raised by rap music, and gravitated to wordplay and poetry at an early age. While hip hop remains within the core of his music’s DNA, Rox Lavi’s music today thrives on an expanded palette of influences that incorporate indie and alt-rock influences, and that fans of artists including BROCKHAMPTON and Dominic Fike would love.

Returning to host this year’s ONES TO WATCH event will be the Gen Z voice of Australian music media, Tait McGregor. A multi-platform content creator, the presenter specializes in music, from TV, radio & podcasts, to sweaty mosh pits. Having written for the likes of MTV Australia, Tone Deaf & The AU Review, she has also worked on productions for Netflix, STAN, VEVO & more.

Performing at stadiums in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch (his first show there in 11 years), before heading to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, Ed’s new live show promises to be filled with surprises, new music, as well as his biggest hits.

Watch: Ed Sheeran – Sapphire

Sheeran is an era-defining artist who has sold nearly 200 million records globally. Recently he was celebrated as a 12-time member of Spotify’s Billions Club, while Apple Music revealed his 2017 hit ‘Shape Of You’ was their most-streamed song of the last decade. Moreover, Ed recently surpassed 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, seeing him become the platform’s 4th most-listened to artist in the world. Last on our shores in 2023 – when he played to a record-breaking 200,000 fans across two nights at Melbourne’s iconic MCG – Sheeran’s mammoth Mathematics Tour spanned countless shows across the globe, continuing his streak of breaking records and making history.

Watch: Ed Sheeran – Azizam

Led by lead singles ‘Azizam’ (certified Gold and #1 at radio in AU), ‘Sapphire’ and ‘Old Phone’, Play marks the beginning of a fresh new chapter for Sheeran. The singer-songwriter’s latest work is an explorative, technicolour pop album that captures the fun, chaos, and heart of an artist reinvigorated by life and travel. Promising all-new stage production centred around the joyful, expansive sound of Play, the upcoming stadium shows will incorporate new visuals, intimate acoustic moments alongside his renowned loop pedal performances, and the full stadium singalongs only Ed Sheeran can deliver.

Inspired by musical cultures from around the globe – particularly Indian and Persian cultures and their surprising melodic connections to the Irish folk tradition he grew up with through shared scales, rhythms and melodies – Play encompasses an eclectic and borderless sound. On the album Sheeran has teamed up with producers and musicians from across the globe, showcasing his limitless musicianship.

With a brand-new album, a renewed creative spirit and a catalogue of global hits, Ed Sheeran’s 2026 stadium tour is set to be one of the most anticipated live events of the year. Don’t miss the return of one of the world’s most loved live performers!

The Grogans Stagger LP AUS/NZ Tour

by the partae July 22, 2025
written by the partae

The Grogans are kicking off their Stagger album tour this August at iconic venues across Australia including Metro Theatre, The Tivoli, 170 Russell and more with a hometown U18s show at Naarm’s Northcote Social Club, before they jet over to the states for an East Coast US Tour in October. Joined by Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys for the whole tour, the shows will feature local supports across different cities from indie-pop rock outfit Jet City Sports Club, alt-rockers Platonic Sex, and South Australian garage band Ethanol Blend.

Capturing the magnetic energy of their live shows, Stagger touches on themes of mental health, taking care of yourself and your loved ones, the occasional love song, and more. As the catchy chorus first single and album opener ‘Oh Boy’ leads into sonic powerhouse of a tune ‘Come Up (Goes Down)’, ‘In My Heart’ slows it down to a new easy listening direction, followed by ‘Have a Little Dream’ – as dreamy as the title suggests – and the big open echoed instrumentation of ‘Once In A While’. Adding new textural effects in ‘Roll Back’ and last single ‘Roundabout’, ‘Happier Man’ dips into a heavier psych realm with a reminder that “striving to be a better and happier person should be a goal for everyone.” ‘Worry About Everything’ is an upbeat tune sure to have you worrying about nothing, and feel good album closer ‘All My Days’ ends on a more serious note that outlines the beauty and the beast of live music and the personal struggles that come with the lifestyle and touring.

Meet the Artist: SHARE

by the partae July 21, 2025
written by the partae

Ibiza-based DJ SHARE (also known as Sharon Pieksma) has long outgrown the title of hidden gem. With an expanding catalog of releases on respected labels and a resume of global performances, she’s become a standout force in the electronic music world. Her distinct sound and super energetic stage presence continue to turn heads.

From DJ Booth to Studio: A Seamless Transition

SHARE began spinning tracks over a decade ago, infusing her DJ sets with deeper messages from the very beginning. Environmental consciousness has consistently been at the heart of her creative journey.

While many might remember her as Miss Universe Netherlands 2019, that title was merely a platform for her greater cause, advocating against single-use plastics and spotlighting ecological issues on a global stage.

Later that same year, she naturally progressed into music production. Her debut single, Avatar, was released in 2022 through Abracadabra, the record label of none other than BLOND:ISH. The track debuted during an Abracadabra showcase and a Bye Bye Plastic benefit, an initiative founded by BLOND:ISH aimed at eliminating plastic waste in the music scene.

SHARE hasn’t paused since. With EPs like Firewalk and Moon, she has carved out a unique sonic identity. Her track Oh Please (featuring Def Eff) landed on Crosstown Rebels, the iconic label headed by Damian Lazarus.

Taking Her Sound Global

Though SHARE initially started out as a minimal DJ, she made a name for herself with an organic sound. However, her style has grown to embrace elements of indie house and tech house. This evolution mirrors her development as a versatile artist.

After playing at beloved Dutch festivals like Gardens of Babylon, Pleinvrees, and Thuishaven, her performances quickly expanded across borders. She’s since graced the stages of international festivals and clubs, including SXM Festival in St. Maarten, Portugal’s Goat Community and Nomad Souk, La Karavane in Morocco, Dubai’s Soho Beach, and Panama’s Reactor and Playa Venao.

Now based in Ibiza, SHARE has become a fixture in the island’s vibrant scene. This summer, she’ll return several times to the mystical WooMoon nights at Cova Santa. She’s also set to make her highly awaited debut at the renowned Hï Ibiza, performing alongside legends like Black Coffee and Damian Lazarus.

Upcoming Shows

August
• 10 – Untold Festival – Romania
• 15 – WooMoon – Ibiza

September
• 20 – Hï Ibiza – with Black Coffee & Damian Lazarus

Want to feel the energy of a SHARE set for yourself? Her tour calendar is packed, with more dates to be announced. Follow her on Instagram for the latest updates:

written by the partae

Tickets on sale at theushuaiaexperience.com

FULL CLOSING PARTY 2025 LINEUP (A-Z): ADAM BEYER / CHRIS AVANTGARDE / ERIC PRYDZ / FRANKY WAH / J RIBBON / KOROLOVA / PAUL KALKBRENNER (LIVE) / TRIPOLISM / YULIA NIKO

This October, Ibiza’s closing season reaches new heights with The Trilogy — a groundbreaking, multi-venue finale that unites three of the island’s most iconic clubs for one historic weekend. Created by The Night League, The Trilogy unfolds across Ushuaïa Ibiza, Hï Ibiza, and the island’s newest giant, [UNVRS], across two unforgettable days: 11 & 12 October 2025.
The journey begins at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Saturday 11 October, where Part One of The Trilogy will transform the legendary open-air stage into a celebration of electronic music. As day turns to night, a meticulously curated lineup of global icons and the scene’s most exciting new talent will set the tone for the weekend ahead — and for a new era in Ibiza’s closing tradition.
Headlining Part One is the inimitable Eric Prydz, making his only Ushuaïa Ibiza appearance of the summer. Fresh off his acclaimed [UNVRS] residency, Prydz brings his signature blend of progressive power and stadium-sized emotion to a stage built for big moments. He is joined by the legendary Paul Kalkbrenner, returning with his celebrated live show — a raw, analog-driven experience built on timeless anthems and unmatched presence. Adam Beyer, one of techno’s most enduring forces, adds serious weight to the bill with a high-octane set shaped by the sound of his Drumcode legacy, guaranteed to push the dancefloor into overdrive.
Pushing melodic boundaries, Chris Avantgarde arrives from Berlin with cinematic intensity and boundary-pushing sound design, riding high from standout collaborations with Anyma and Kevin de Vries. Franky Wah brings his emotive, rave-infused sound back to Ushuaïa Ibiza, while Ukrainian star Korolova delivers soaring melodic techno with euphoric precision. Yulia Niko adds a hypnotic edge with deep, rolling grooves and sleek production finesse, bringing an underground pulse to the day’s energy. Tripolism, a Danish trio blending live instrumentation with club-ready storytelling, are set to be one of the weekend’s most talked-about revelations. Completing the lineup is J Ribbon, a name on the rise whose layered, progressive soundscapes make him one to watch for the season ahead.
As the sun sets on another unforgettable summer, The Trilogy – Part One stands as both a celebration and a statement — a bold expression of Ushuaïa Ibiza’s commitment to curating lineups that honour the heritage of electronic music while shaping its future.
Lineups and tickets for Part Two and Part Three of The Trilogy will be revealed soon. Combo tickets will be available and Part One ticket buyers will receive exclusive priority access.
Stay tuned for more revelations as the full story of The Trilogy unfolds.

PARK WAVES FESTIVAL IS SET TO TRAVEL AUSTRALIA-WIDE IN 2026

by the partae July 17, 2025
written by the partae

Roll up, roll up and prepare for the most ambitious undertaking by any band in Australian touring history in 2026! In an Australian first, the circus is coming to town next February and March when PARK WAVES, the curated travelling festival from Australian metal juggernauts PARKWAY DRIVE, arrives for its Australian debut. Witness some of the biggest names in the heavy scene under the big top for this monumental and never-before-witnessed event, helmed by Australia’s very own ringmasters of chaos: PARKWAY DRIVE.

Boasting a menagerie of heavy acts set to trek across the country in 2026, spanning 11 dates next February and March, PARK WAVES will commence on Saturday, February 14th at Langley Park in Perth before trekking the country, heading to Adelaide, Geelong, Scoresby, Bendigo, Wollongong, Sydney, Maitland, Toowoomba and PARKWAY DRIVE’s own hometown Byron Bay, and closing out on Sunday, March 15th on the Sunshine Coast.

Headlined by PARKWAY DRIVE, the first ever Australian PARK WAVES also features a dazzling lineup of artists, including THE AMITY AFFLICTION, NORTHLANE, ALPHA WOLF and STORY OF THE YEAR. And adding to this Australian first, PARK WAVES will also mark the first time that PARKWAY DRIVE and THE AMITY AFFLICTION have ever toured Australia together in the collective history of both bands.

“The vision for this is the biggest undertaking in Parkway’s history.  A traveling festival run by the band, for the fans. It’s a massive deal for us, so we wanted to make it special. Not only is the line up stacked, for the first time on home soil, we’ll be bringing the iconic and unstoppable – The Amity Affliction. Parkway, Amity, Australia. It’s never been bigger. This is the full festival experience, a day to enjoy, connect and get wild. We can’t wait to see you there.” Winston McCall, Parkway Drive

The ringmasters behind PARK WAVES, PARKWAY DRIVE have spent over two decades forging an astonishing reputation as one of Australia’s most successful exports, balancing their metalcore roots with everything from uncompromising ferocity through to raw melodies, traditional heavy metal and more.

Catapulting from the shores of Byron Bay into global headliner status, PARKWAY DRIVE now have eight studio albums in their wake, millions of streams, multiple ARIA Music Awards and top-billing at some of the biggest festivals and stages at home and abroad, while their live show can barely be contained by the word “legendary”. Australian fans will be treated to multiple death-defying performances in 2026, both on land at the group’s brand new 11-date curated festival PARK WAVES in February and March, as well as on the high seas at the HELLBOUND cruise next October.

Entirely selling out Australia’s first ever dedicated heavy metal floating festival, HELLBOUND, in just seven minutes, PARKWAY DRIVE also recently made history earlier this year with their sold-out black-tie performance at the Sydney Opera House, with Rolling Stone Australia enthusing “…this show at the Concert Hall served a potent reminder that they are one of Australia’s best bands, period”. Selling out their monolithic Sydney Opera House extravaganza in just three minutes, PARKWAY DRIVE’s explosive trajectory from teenage metal underdogs to global success story continues to show zero signs of slowing down. A band who have redefined the musical landscape for over 20 years, shared stages with multiple titans of the scene, including Metallica, Lamb of God, Soulfly and Killswitch Engage, and proudly fly the flag for Australian heavy music on a mainstream level, PARKWAY DRIVE are a heavy act like no other; and their curated festival PARK WAVES is set to take this legacy to even greater heights.

On the flying trapeze, we have THE AMITY AFFLICTION; a band who have become synonymous with chart and worldwide success since emerging with their 2008 debut album Severed Ties, going on to tick off over a billion streams worldwide, four #1 records, multiple Gold and Platinum certifications in Australia, and a string of Top 30-charting albums on Billboard. Beginning a new era in 2025 with clean vocalist and bassist Jonny Reeves via the single All That I Remember, THE AMITY AFFLICTION continue their powerhouse legacy that has also seen them in demand at the likes of Download UK, Reading and Leeds, Vans Warped Tour and more, as well as countless sold out headline runs, and supports alongside everyone from A Day To Remember through to Sum 41, PVRIS, Beartooth, Silverstein and more.

Next, marvel at the contortionists, Sydney metalcore icons NORTHLANE who have become fixtures in the heavy music scene across the globe, driven by fearless evolution and innovation. A chart-topping, award-winning act, NORTHLANE have released six acclaimed albums over the years, from their 2011 debut full-length Discoveries through to their ARIA Chart #1, 2022’s Obsidian. Renowned for blending lashings of brutality with techno, drum and bass, synths and complex hues, NORTHLANE have won three consecutive ARIA Awards for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album, toured the with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Sleep Token and Stray From The Path, and also become in-demand in a festival setting, with the group also set to perform as part of the maiden voyage for 2026’s stacked Hellbound Cruise.

Taming lions are only one of the many feats wielded by Aussie metalcore behemoths ALPHA WOLF who roared into 2025 armed with their blistering new album, 2024’s Half Living Things, going on to tick off a mammoth Australian regional headline run, and perform extensively in North America as part of Summer of Loud alongside Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage and more. While the road has been far from easy over the years, ALPHA WOLF refuse to let anything stand in their way, channeling chaotic and turbulent times into their razor-sharp sonic aesthetic. From releasing their ARIA Award-nominated sophomore album A Quiet Place To Die during the pandemic in 2020 through to securing a #2 debut on the ARIA Australian Album Charts, ALPHA WOLF continue to be ravenously in-demand on a global scale.

And walking the tightrope while brandishing loud guitars, singalong choruses and enduring success, STORY OF THE YEAR’s impact on the post hardcore scene began in 2003 via their debut album Page Avenue. Becoming one of the first of its kind to sell a million copies, Page Avenue paved the way for STORY OF THE YEAR touring with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and Deftones, and ultimately kickstarted decades of success, seven studio albums, and sold out shows around the world punctuated by high octane performances. Most recently touring Australia in 2024 for a sold out tour as part of their Page Avenue 20th anniversary celebrations, STORY OF THE YEAR are fluent in balancing hooks and heaviness, and it’s little wonder the group continue to dominate in a live setting, decades into their career.

As an all ages 16+ event, PARK WAVES is a concept never before attempted by any artist with circus performers, carnival rides, sideshow alleys and food offerings befitting one of the greatest shows on Earth – it’s a headbanger’s experience like no other that has to be seen to be believed.

Spanning 11 dates across Australia, including multiple regional locales, join PARKWAY DRIVE bringing PARK WAVES home in 2026. Step right up, and get ready for the next wave!
