Chef’Special presents their new album, Unfold. This is the successor of Amigo, which reached a platinum status in the Netherlands and gathered over 62 million streams worldwide. 

Later this month the band will go on a European tour to celebrate the release.

The Album Unfold features ten tracks, which are all produced by the guitarist Guido Joseph. Chef’Special went back to their hometown Haarlem the Netherlands to record the album. Self-acceptance is the theme, looking ahead and connecting with others are the mottos for this album. 

Chef’Special about the album: “During the process of creating this new album we tried to stay as true to ourselves as possible. By also producing this album ourselves we managed to make this a very personal album, both lyrically and musically. We are very proud of the result, and we feel like we managed to challenge ourselves and explore new paths. 

In January the first single Trouble of the new album released. This track was featured in 24 New Music Friday playlists on Spotify, was played several times on BBC Radio 2 in the UK, entered the Dutch Airplay Top 200 at #10, and also entered the Airplay Top 200 in Germany. 

Whether Chef’Special is touring America as support act of Twenty One Pilots, performing on the main stage at festivals like Pinkpop, Sziget or Lowlands, or in huge sold-out venues like the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam; they always convince the whole audience and turn every show in a party. The tour to promote Unfold will bring the band to Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic and of course The Netherlands.

Iconic multi-platinum rock band BUSH have unveiled the video for their hard-charging lead track “Flowers On A Grave”

The Jesse Davey-directed video features an electrifying BUSH performance of the pensive and pummelling track, all shot in one take.

The single is the dynamic follow-up to BUSH’s cinematic Bullet Holes, heard by audiences all over the world atop the end credits to the international blockbuster, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

Bush will return to Australia in early 2021 with Live and the Stone Temple Pilots as part of the Under The Southern Stars Festival which was due to take place next month but has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Oddball icons Ocean Grove have debuted at a whopping #8 on the ARIA Album Chart following the release of their sweltering new album  Flip Phone Fantasy last Friday. The release also landed at #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Album chart.

The band’s technicolored sophomore record has been praised for its “no-fucks-given” attitude (Kerrang!), was named Album Of The Week via The Music, meanwhile Hysteria classed the record as one for the history books, asserting that the name Ocean Grove will never be forgotten alongside a whopping 10/10 review.

Today, Australia’s Cosmo’s Midnight and Ruel reveal the official video for their latest collaborative track “Down For You”, out via Sony Music (Australia), RCA Records (USA) and Black Butter Records (UK). Having drip-fed individual versions of the clip throughout the week, the trio of pop & electronic heroes now come full circle sharing a unified visual to bring their collaboration to life.

Across two simultaneous shots, Cosmo’s Midnight and Ruel each weave their way through the colour-glazed maze of costumes, masks and wild guests at the same quintessential house party. Directed and filmed by Ruel’s resident creative Grey Ghost from the perspective of each individuals’ adventures, Cosmo’s Midnight are seen stirring trouble and performing switcheroos, while Ruel navigates the dizzying scenes solo in his token space suit, dodging the fallout of the twins’ mischief along the way. Amidst squabbles, a live band, a police raid, apparent cameos by each act and a presiding go-with-the-flow mood, the visuals give a glimpse into the three personalities that forged the original single.

 “I wanted to play with the collaboration between Ruel and Cosmo’s Midnight in a unique way that allows fans of both artists to enter into each others’ worlds. Both film clips are seamless one shot videos from start to finish and follow through many rooms and spaces in the one property: my own home. We rehearsed with Ruel and Cosmo’s Midnight a million times before launching into the real takes with 60 extras all dressed in crazy costumes. We shot both videos in 3 hours and we were shitting ourselves before every take as there were SO MANY things that could go wrong even if it was a slight mistake.
