Groovin The Moo reveals all-star lineup for Lismore return!

by the partae February 24, 2026
written by the partae

Delighting Australian music lovers with the news of its return, Groovin The Moo is excited to share the incredible crop of local and international artists who are set to make its special one-off show in Lismore an unforgettable event.

BAKER BOY proudly stepped into a new creative era with the release of his sophomore album DJANDJAY in 2025 – a powerful fusion of culture, nuance and unbridled pride in his art and self. The charismatic performer is one of Australia’s most commanding and with DJANDJAY propelling Baker Boy forward, Australian music fans get to see one of our best rappers excelling in a new, bold spotlight.

Fierce hip hop multi-talent DENZEL CURRY makes his long awaited return to Australia for Groovin The Moo, having headlined the regional tour in 2023. A wildly entertaining performer with a range of influences that speak to a love of music that varies from hip hop to jazz; alternative to punk, and more, Curry has pioneered his own lane of excellence that a whole generation of artists have found their own similar identity within.

DOPE LEMON brings his tight nocturnal grooves to Lismore, the solo project of ANGUS STONE set to hypnotise and charm at Groovin The Moo in 2026. Touring the world off the back of his 2025 record GOLDEN WOLF, the return of Dope Lemon to Australian fans is one that cannot be missed.

For those who love a bit of line dancing or are keen to get involved, Groovin The Moo welcomes KATH EBBS, presenting the popular queer line dancing phenomenon, COWBOY COUNTRY.

Breakthrough artist MAPLE’S PET DINOSAUR has become one of Australia’s most exciting new artists to watch. Going viral on TikTok with songs like ‘LEGO’ and ‘CHORUS’, the teenager from Newcastle has blown up in the last year thanks to spots on festival bills alongside TOOL, GARBAGE and more.

One of the Northern Rivers’ best, MATT CORBY, joins the GTM lineup fresh off the release of his long-awaited fourth studio album, TRAGIC MAGIC (scheduled to drop in March 2026). Corby’s voice has captivated Australian audiences for many years, his music becoming a staple on the life soundtrack for many Australian music fans. The six time Platinum selling artist brings the soul and seasoning to each record he touches and as a live performer, Corby is one of one.

Hailing from the Central Coast, NINAJIRACHI’s ascent in becoming one of the country’s most recognisable names in EDM was marked by the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, I LOVE MY COMPUTER in 2025. Earning the most ARIA nominations of any artist that year (winning three), the record dominated in many fields, nabbing the producer the Australian Music Prize, Australian Album of the Year at the 2025 J Awards, and more.

Blistering rock comes through courtesy of Gerringong’s finest, THE TERRYS; Sunshine Coast heroes THE CHATS; firebrand acts who have been leading the charge in creating new waves of chaos on stages around the country and overseas.

Another globally renowned and beloved Australian artist, TONES AND I brings her unmistakable sound and relentlessly uplifting live energy to Groovin The Moo this May. Having spent most of the last 18 months touring her BEAUTIFULLY ORDINARY album, performing in arenas and releasing chart climbing hits with the likes of David Guetta and Teddy Swims, Tones is spending the beginning of 2026 pouring back into audiences at home – we can’t wait.

Along with Byron Bay-based Corby, local talent from the Northern Rivers region is celebrated on this year’s Groovin The Moo lineup, with Lismore’s homegrown heroes THE COLLIFLOWERS and the talented ANGEL WHITE – a 17 year old Indigenous singer-songwriter currently making waves from her home in Murwillumbah – completing the lineup.

Along with the official artist announcement, Groovin The Moo have teamed up with local music retailer PLANET MUSIC to run the PLANET MUSIC HOMEGROWN HERO competition, where local artists are encouraged to enter and submit their music for a chance to perform. For more details, visit the Groovin The Moo website.

Information regarding camping and shuttle transportation will be provided online, with Groovin The Moo fans now able to register their interest in both camping and shuttles via the official festival sign-up form.

Groovin The Moo Lismore will take place at Oakes Oval, Widjabul/Wia-bal Country, from 11am to 10pm and will be an all-ages event.

TAME IMPALA ANNOUNCE DEADBEAT TOUR PERFORMING IN ARENAS IN BRISBANE, MELBOURNE, SYDNEY & PERTH THIS OCTOBER + WITH SPECIAL GUEST NINAJIRACHI (all shows) Tickets on sale Friday 27 February

by the partae February 24, 2026
written by the partae

It’s the news fans have been waiting for: following the release of his acclaimed fifth studio album, Deadbeat, Tame Impala – the visionary project of Kevin Parker – is returning to Australia, today announcing four huge arena shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth this October.

Kevin Parker has emerged as one of the most influential voices of the last decade. Marking a bold new musical chapter, Deadbeat (listen here) arrived in late 2025 led by three killer singles: ‘Loser’, ‘End of Summer’ and ‘Dracula’ – the latter earning Parker his biggest debuts yet at US radio, and landing in at number three on this year’s triple j’s Hottest 100, almost 20 years since Tame Impala’s first appearance in the poll. As a newly six-piece touring band, Tame Impala kicked off the Deadbeat tour with 12 sold-out shows across North America last October and November, with a UK/European tour set to begin this April. From July, Tame Impala will return to the USA and Canada, kicking off a huge area run featuring guests Djo and Dominic Fike.

Conceived across multiple locations over several years, Deadbeat was largely created between Fremantle and Parker’s studio, Wave House, in Injidup, WA. Deadbeat sounds like the work of an artist with a levelled-up mastery, crafted with a newfound embrace of spontaneity for the renowned perfectionist. How that manifests is a distinct minimalism and crunch, with timbres and textures that add an ineffably new dimension to the sound, as well as a richer, more playful vocal range than ever.

With a ‘Dracula’ remix featuring Jennie of BLACKPINK out now, February saw Parker awarded a GRAMMY for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for ‘End of Summer’ – his first solo win, following his 2025 trophy in the same category for ‘Neverender’, his collaboration with French dance pioneers Justice.

Joining Tame Impala on all dates is one of the most exciting names in Australian music right now: fast-rising electronic artist, songwriter and producer Ninajirachi. Raised on NSW’s Central Coast, Nina had a massive 2025 following the release of her debut album I Love My Computer, which took out top honours at the Australian Music Prize, NSW Music’s Breakthrough Artist Prize, two J Awards (including Album of the Year), and three ARIA Awards.

Frontier Members can get early access to tickets via the Frontier presale, which starts Wednesday 25 February (9am local time) – see website for full information. Tickets go onsale to the public from Friday 27 February (11am local time).

Across four previous albums – InnerSpeaker (2010), Lonerism (2012), Currents (2015) and The Slow Rush (2020) – Tame Impala has headlined multiple festivals and arenas around the globe. The Slow Rush debuted at #1 in multiple territories and became Tame Impala’s highest-charting album to date in the US, UK, and Canada, landing in the top 10 in 14 countries. As a writer and producer, Parker has collaborated with Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, SZA, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Thundercat, Kali Uchis, 070 Shake, Rihanna, Miguel, A$AP Rocky, and many more. Tame Impala’s ‘The Less I Know The Better’ is part of the Billionaires Club with over 2 billion streams and the project has racked up numerous gold and platinum certifications globally.

Sure to be one of the most exciting tours of the year, don’t miss Tame Impala’s triumphant return to Australia this October!

Andrea An Channels Grief and Identity on Powerful New Single “Save You”

by the partae February 24, 2026
written by the partae

“Save You” finds Andrea An at her most vulnerable and self-revealing yet. The pop/alternative-rock single, written in memory of her late mother, moves through the heavy terrain of grief with unflinching honesty — tracing the love, longing, and quiet guilt that can linger long after loss. Rather than searching for neat resolution, the song holds space for emotional complexity: the ache of wishing you could have done more, the helplessness of watching someone slip away, and the enduring bond that remains. It’s a deeply personal offering, but one that resonates universally, giving voice to feelings many struggle to articulate.

Sonically, “Save You” mirrors the layered nature of Andrea’s identity. Drawing from the Vietnamese rock she grew up with, the cinematic sweep of Japanese anime soundtracks, and the immediacy of North American pop and alternative rock, the track bridges cultures and influences with intention. In a reflection of that hybridity, the song will be released in three languages — English, Vietnamese, and Japanese — underscoring her commitment to creating music where multiple histories, sounds, and emotional truths can coexist.

A Vietnamese-Canadian artist based in Saskatchewan, Andrea is also the co-owner of Saskatoon’s Nolita Studios, where she records and produces her work alongside producer Jesse Weiman while overseeing the creative direction of every visual and sonic detail. Classically trained in piano from the age of six and later self-taught on guitar, she has built a multidisciplinary career spanning music, photography, and video. Her debut album Bloom ranked No. 7 on SaskMusic’s Best Saskatchewan Albums of 2022, and her growing profile includes major festival appearances, multiple Music Video of the Year nominations, and recognition as a two-time SCMA Emerging Artist nominee. With “Save You,” Andrea An continues to carve out a distinct and resonant space in Canada’s pop/alternative-rock landscape — creating work that invites listeners not only into her story, but into their own.

MASOOD BOOMGAARD ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL SHOWS FOLLOWING NEW ZEALAND SELL-OUT ADDS BALI DATE DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND

by the partae February 24, 2026
written by the partae

Following the rapid sell-out of his New Zealand show, international comedian and viral sensation MASOOD BOOMGAARD has announced an additional New Zealand date, alongside the addition of a brand new Bali show, in response to overwhelming demand for his live show SELF-HELP SINGH.

BOOMGAARD’s much-loved alter-ego SELF-HELP SINGH, the internet’s favourite “comedic alternative life coach” – has captivated millions worldwide with his razor-sharp, hilariously bleak take on motivation, modern life and cultural absurdity. The overwhelming response to the upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour only further cements BOOMGAARD as one of the most in-demand comedic voices working today.

With over 1.7 million followers on Instagram and rapidly growing audiences across TikTok and YouTube, SELF-HELP SINGH’s signature brand of de-motivational enlightenment has struck a chord with audiences worldwide. The newly added New Zealand show comes after the original date sold out swiftly, while the Bali show marks an exciting extension of the tour, taking BOOMGAARD’s live comedy to yet another international stage.

“I am looking forward to returning to Australia- one of the most misunderstood places on earth. Australians have an incredible sense of humour- which means as a nation you’re masking a lot of issues.

Also, I am excited to be visiting new Zealand for the first time. I’m not sure what to expect but I’m sure it’s just as bad as Australia” – MASOOD BOOMAGAARD

Tickets for MASOOD BOOMGAARD’s Australian and New Zealand tour dates are on sale now. Access tickets via destroyalllines.com

GARDEN EYES SHARE NOSTALGIC EMO ROCK TRACK “SPEAK SLOW”

by the partae February 21, 2026
written by the partae

Emerging Brisbane alternative rock quartet Garden Eyes share their melodic new single “Speak Slow“.

Moody and deeply introspective, “Speak Slow” captures the push and pull of a relationship marked by poor mental health, power imbalance and creeping self-doubt. Built on slow melodic leads and wide-open chords, the track ebbs and flows, leaving space for the weight of the words to take centre stage, mirroring the gradual realisation of a self-destructive connection. Listen here.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Jackson Deasy (East Capri), “Speak Slow” follows a string of live shows for the band, including a couple of support slots for Bloom and Avoid (US) on The Light We Chase Australian Tour last week, alongside a hometown set supporting The Local Romance earlier this month.

For fans of Movements and The Story So Far, Garden Eyes have already impressively amassed over 120,000 online streams across just three tracks, earning ongoing support from triple j Unearthed and community radio, while sharing stages with much-loved acts including Bad Neighbour – notably supporting them at the Brisbane show on the Millions album tour.

On triple j Unearthed, Garden Eyes have drawn comparisons to artists that place them well within the modern emo and post-alternative landscape. triple j Home and Hosed’s Anika Luna reviewed debut track “Habit” with four stars, saying: “There’s no messing around with Garden Eyes love how this song just gets stuck right into it – no beating around the bush” and Steph Hughes awarded four stars to sophomore single “Cold Silhouette“ saying: “There’s a shimmer in these punk rock tones. The way the balance of light and heavy works in here is excellent and hooked me right in.”

Stay tuned for more from the rising alt-emo stars. “Speak Slow” is out today and streaming everywhere now.

Real Farmer announce new LP + single + video ‘Heart Out’ / EU/UK tour for May, June

by the partae February 20, 2026
written by the partae

Expect lightning-fast tempos, razor-sharp riffs, pulsating drums, and captivating melodies.” Under The Radar
“A rich tapestry of styles from out and out punk, to garage indie.” CLASH
“Think MC5 meets The Fall” Pan M 360

“Ok this kinda rips!” Anthony Fantano
“This new banger will propel them thoroughly on their way to wider recognition.” DIY

Groningen, Netherlands-based four-piece Real Farmer have today (18 February) unveiled Heart Out, a new single that’s a thrilling mix of 60s beat and proto punk. Hollering vocals and swashbuckling guitars conjure up a mental image of the wasted, sweatstained, downtown New York of the mid-70s: that of Richard Hell or Dead Boys. For the video they were filmed playing live by Roger Sargent (The Libertines, Vona Vella, Baxter Dury) at Margate’s iconic greasy spoon Dalby Cafe.

On Heart Out, Real Farmer say: “Some days the urge to give up feels insurmountable. What does art matter in a world where the sick reign and act with impunity? Are we even worthy of love? We need to resist becoming bitter by what is happening out there. Love is the drive to do everything but also sets the intention that an act should have. Resistance needs love.”

The single release comes as Real Farmer have today for the first time detailed their second album Two Wrongs Don’t Make A Right. It’s out 1 May through Peter Doherty’s Strap Originals on vinyl and digital – pre-orders/saves are found here. In allegiance with independent record shops, a limited deluxe colored vinyl will be available in certain stores.

Upon completing upcoming dates in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and France, Real Farmer are back in the UK in June for their biggest headline run yet. The gigs are announced as they gear up to support Peter Doherty at a sold out 2,700 cap L’Olympia in Paris tonight.

Real Farmer’s new album becomes their third release to be recorded at Far Out Sound Studios in Rotterdam by Niek Van Den Driesschen (Rats on Rafts, Iguana Death Cult), following debut album Compare What’s There (2024) and EP RF II (2025). Previous singles on Two Wrongs Don’t Make A Right include the Stereolab-esque Run By Animals video and Missing Link video – a thrashy, stop-start opener and a call to arms. “Not all songs are punk songs, but everything is written in this spirit,” says Real Farmer. “There’s so much happening in the world, that if you’re even a little empathetic, you can’t help but feel overwhelmed and saddened [by it all]. Music remains such an important outlet as well as a meeting point for politics and worldviews. And with this album we hope listeners can also find a sense of empowerment and hope through our songs.”

Real Farmer are fast making a name for themselves in alternative music scenes all over Europe thanks to their energetic blend of DIY punk, angular art-rock and gritty authenticity. In 2025 they supported the likes of Babyshambles, Protomartyr and The Libertines and played The Great Escape, Primavera a la Ciutat and Pitchfork Paris.

The band released their debut EP on Dutch indie Subroutine Records (Tramhaus, The Homesick) in 2019 and signed to Strap Originals in 2023. Their releases have caught adoration of their ever-growing fanbase and key champions in press and radio; including: BBC 6Music, Radio 1, Apple Music 1, So Young, DIY, Louder Than War, God Is In The TV, The Needle Drop and Under The Radar.

Real Farmer are: Jeroen Klootsema (vocals), Marrit Meinema (bass, vocals), Leon Harms (drums) and Peter van der Ploeg (guitar, backing vocals).

JVLY Unveils Mel Blue Remix of “SOUTH” Ahead of SUNDERLUXE EP

by the partae February 19, 2026
written by the partae

Australian artist/producer JVLY continues the anticipation-build for his upcoming SUNDERLUXE ep this week with a remix of SOUTH from Sydney project Mel Blue.

SUNDERLUXE is essentially a deluxe version of JVLY’s 2025 SUNDER EP, featuring a remix of each ep-track, plus an unheard B-Side that was written during the SUNDER sessions.

Known for their emotive, genre-fluid approach to electronic music, Mel Blue have reworked the original into a warmer, more introspective cut, trading peak-time energy for patience, texture, and emotional weight. Mel Blue stretches the track into something slower-burning and immersive, leaning into spacious grooves, softened percussion, and a hazy sense of movement that feels built for late-night listening.

Following earlier remixes from Contrecoeur (France), and Lemonade Baby (Brisbane), Mel Blue’s take further broadens the ep’s sonic palette. It’s a reimagining that feels both intimate and expansive, adding another dimension to the SUNDERLUXE world.

JVLY: “I’ve been a big fan of Mel Blue for a while now, so when I heard they were into SOUTH and keen to do their own version, I was so hyped. Their stuff always has this beautiful mix of soul and nostalgia and energy that l knew they would bring to the track. SOUTH is about these repeated loops we can get ourselves stuck in sometimes, and their remix just hit me when I first heard it because it just nailed that feeling in such a fresh way. To me it sort of feels like something you’d hear in Trainspotting, that vintage UK sound I love, but at the same time it’s super forward-thinking, and it just has this nostalgic feeling that perfectly hits what I was trying to capture with this song.”

Mel Blue: “We love South by JVLY and were so stoked we got to work on it. The original feels to us like a moody reflection on needing to be more honest with yourself and in a relationship. We wanted to take our rework of the track to a place where this realisation would feel like acceptance. We wanted to focus on the joy that comes with growing.”

Luke Million & Muna n Release ‘Smoke & Mirrors’

by the partae February 19, 2026
written by the partae

Australian producer Luke Million teams up with South-Korean artist Munan on their new collaborative single ‘Smoke & Mirrors’, offering up a shimmering, synth-driven track that blends retro-disco energy with dreamy indie-pop mystique.

Built on a foundation of 80s-inspired instrumentation, ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ pulses with vintage warmth and modern flair. The track channels classic influences while allowing both artists’ distinct musical worlds to collide; Luke Million’s rich, analog-heavy production meets Munan’s psychedelic sensibility, hazy guitars, and ethereal vocal delivery.

Luke Million shares: “Smoke & Mirrors began as a fun 80s synth-infused bop where I channelled influences from Justice, Giorgio Moroder and even Billy Joel. When it was time to find a vocalist, I was drawn to the psychedelic, indie-pop sound of Munan. I wanted our two worlds to meld together, and when I received the first demo back from Munan, I knew we were on to something magical right away. His dreamy vocals and epic guitar melodies encapsulated a feeling of mystery and a feel-good vibe that took the instrumental to a whole new level. It was such a pleasure working with Munan. His passion and musicianship made this a dream collaboration, and Smoke & Mirrors is the result of this instant connection we made.”

For Munan, the collaboration felt like a natural meeting of shared influences and creative curiosity:
“Smoke & Mirrors is a song I worked on with Luke Million (aka “The Synth Lord”). Being an avid 80s disco lover, I was really excited to be part of something like this. Luke sent me the instrumental, and I got straight into writing the melody, then recorded fuzz guitars that acted and sounded like a synth lead. The phrase ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ came to mind immediately – the track had this mysterious energy that felt both nostalgic and surreal.

The result is a song that feels simultaneously euphoric and enigmatic, a late-night disco pulse wrapped in layers of atmosphere, melody, and analogue glow. ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ captures the spark of an instant creative connection, turning distance into collaboration and shared influences into something fresh and transportive.

‘Smoke & Mirrors’ is available everywhere now.

Rich Delinquent joins Tyla Yaweh on the dark, euphoric title track from his new mixtape Heartbreak Afterparty

by the partae February 16, 2026
written by the partae

Rising alt-pop artist Rich Delinquent returns with a powerful new collaboration, linking up with Tyla Yaweh on the emotionally charged single “Heartbreak Afterparty.” The track fuses moody atmosphere with late-night euphoria, capturing the tension between heartbreak, escapism amidst a penthouse – substance driven downfall.

Driven by lush, shadowy production, Rich Delinquent delivers soaring high-register melodies that blur vulnerability and intoxication, embodying the feeling of trying to outrun emotional collapse through sound, lights, and motion. Tyla Yaweh cuts through the haze with slick, confident bars, grounding the record in raw realism and turning emotional damage into unapologetic swagger.

Together, the pair create a hypnotic collision of melody and rap, a sonic afterparty where pain and pleasure coexist. “Heartbreak Afterparty”

The release continues Rich Delinquent’s momentum as he expands his cult-like fanbase and pushes the boundaries of modern alt-pop, blending emotive songwriting with immersive aesthetics and global ambition.

A Year-Long Journey Comes Full Circle

“Heartbreak Afterparty” serves as the final chapter and emotional bookend of a year-long mixtape rollout that has steadily expanded Rich Delinquent’s world and audience. Across the campaign, the project has featured a diverse run of collaborators including phem, RMR, FRVRFRIDAY, and Starr Adara, each contributing to the evolving sonic narrative and helping shape the mixtape into a global, genre-blurring statement.

Closing the chapter with Tyla Yaweh brings the journey to its most cinematic and high-impact moment, uniting melody, edge, and mainstream reach while staying true to Rich Delinquent’s dark, emotionally charged core.

The single not only signals the culmination of a carefully built rollout, but also positions Rich Delinquent for the next phase of his creative evolution, continuing to blur the lines between alternative emotion, hip-hop attitude, electronic production and late-night escapism.

Interview: Ata Dune – Holding the Flame Inside TEKOSA

by the partae February 16, 2026
written by the partae

What was the moment you realised TEKOSA wasn’t just a collection of sketches but a body of work that needed to exist as an album?

From the beginning. I started out with a full length in mind, and used a few loose parameters to try to keep the whole thing together.

Ambient can often feel weightless. You’ve described wanting to bring “fire” into the genre — what does heat mean to you in a sonic sense?

Ambient that is maybe a little more in front of you, commanding your attention, rather than drifting off.

There’s a tension running through the record that never quite resolves in obvious ways. Were you consciously holding something back?

Intensity is one of the things I was aiming for. To resolve the tension would have undermined the aim.

Do you write from emotion first, or from texture and sound design, and let the meaning reveal itself later?

I always start with sound design, trying to arrive at a compelling sounds that I can work with, which then naturally leads into phrases and meaning.

Silence feels just as important as sound on this album. How do you decide when to leave space rather than fill it?

For both the sound and any silence, I just listen to the track, to see if it is what I was going for and to see if it works.

Was there a particular track on TEKOSA that unlocked the tone for the rest of the record?

Laleno kind of anchored the album. A few of the tracks I even went back and reworked long after I initially completed them, salvaging them as best as I could, because they sounded too separate from the others.

Ambient music often becomes background listening. Do you think about how your music is consumed, or do you let go of that once it’s released?

That’s out of my control. I just try to get it out there to people who might be interested.

Did the album come together quickly, or was it built slowly over time?

It came together very quickly, in the span of three months or so. I initially set a deadline, to help facilitate production, and kept getting sidetracked with various things. That compression of time ended up helping me finish, because I would have been really ticked off if I missed that deadline.

What does the name TEKOSA represent to you — is it conceptual, personal, abstract?

It’s a little personal. Like all my other titles up to this point, it’s just a made up word, a mixture of different Greek words. I think some of the titles I’ve used actually have meanings in other languages. I double checked them by doing a search, to make sure they didn’t reference something egregious. I think the word for one of my singles not on this album, Tiskata, means a type of stew in Norwegian.

Now that the debut is out in the world, do you feel exposed, relieved, or already thinking about what comes next?

Thinking about what comes next! Very excited to have a platform to release my work, and hopefully reach people who will enjoy it.

Jody Glenham Embraces Endurance and Ease on Self-Produced EP Still Here

by the partae February 16, 2026
written by the partae

Canadian indie artist Jody Glenham is back with Still Here, a self-produced EP set to arrive on April 24, 2026, marking a striking new chapter in her nearly two-decade career. The collection reflects a shift toward emotional endurance and creative maturity, moving beyond the immediacy and mood-driven focus of her past work to embrace patience, presence, and timeless songwriting. Hazy guitars, door-chime synths, and dreamy vocals weave together to create a soundscape that feels both intimate and expansive.

Lead single “Love Deficiency Syndrome” captures the awkward optimism of post-breakup rebirth, pairing a sunlit mid-tempo bounce with what Glenham describes as “grinning through the pain.” Inspired by an article by Lena Dunham on ending a long-term relationship, the track brims with subtle nods—from a synth-and-guitar hook that mimics a drawn-out doorbell awaiting an Uber Eats delivery, to a bridge referencing computer shutdowns, evoking both the autopilot of romance and the slow work of becoming whole again. “We leaned into really melodramatic imagery,” Glenham says, “as a nod to how a breakup can make you feel like ‘my life is ending,’ when really… you’re going to be just fine.” The result is bittersweet yet buoyant—heartbreak reframed with a confident sense of ease and forward motion.

For nearly twenty years, Glenham has been a defining presence in Canada’s independent music scene. Her 2020 album Mood Rock earned national support from CBC Radio, charted on Canadian college stations, and was considered for the Polaris Music Prize long list. Her cinematic indie-rock style has landed placements in Netflix series including Snowpiercer, Tiny Pretty Things, and My Life with the Walter Boys. Praised by outlets such as NME, Refinery29, and American Songwriter—which described her work as “as if she composes music from the very elements in the air and atmosphere around us”—Glenham’s songs offer listeners permission to feel deeply without despair. American Songwriter also notes that she “holds time in her palm on Still Here, an EP that cradles each song like a memory,” a fitting testament to an artist whose music consistently balances cinematic sweep with intimate reflection.

1tbsp & Soltera Collide in Two Halves on ‘Soulseek’ — A Rebirth in Motion

by the partae February 14, 2026
written by the partae

Australian dj/producer 1tbsp fuses techno, dance, grunge, and punk on new single ‘Soulseek’, featuring Colombian-American artist Soltera, and offering the first glimpse of his forthcoming album.

Written across Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Sydney, ‘Soulseek’ unfolds in two distinct pulses: a tense, intimate first half that explodes into bubbly, left-field prog-tech chaos, inspired by underground parties and warehouse raves. Soltera’s punk-infused, synth-driven vocals meet 1tbsp’s genre-bending club sensibility, crafting a track that’s unpredictable, emotionally charged, and irresistibly kinetic.

1tbsp explains; “I made the instrumental on a flight from Mexico City to Los Angeles ahead of a recording night with Soltera. We opened it up in her garage studio and had the first half down in an hour. Back in Australia, I knew the second half needed to move somewhere else. Since moving to Sydney, I’ve been inspired by underground community parties and this bubbly, left-field prog-tech sound—perfect for the bush or a warehouse. I wanted to bring that feeling into the end of the track, pairing it unexpectedly with the first half. For me, ‘Soulseek’ feels like a cleanse or a rebirth, and it gives a glimpse into this multi-genre album I’ve been making,”

Soltera reflects, “‘Soulseek’ is about becoming one, merging, embodying masculine and feminine.”

1tbsp also recently announced his North American “bubble tour” (tickets here), and today he’s announcing Soltera will be joining him on the road as the main support, alongside signing her next project to his very own indie label, dottidot

Ata Dune Ignites the Ambient Form on TEKOSA

by the partae February 14, 2026
written by the partae

Ata Dune introduces TEKOSA as a debut that doesn’t simply drift through ambient conventions — it leans into them, then quietly shifts the temperature.

Framed as an eight-track body of work, TEKOSA feels intentional rather than incidental. The pacing suggests design. The space between sounds feels considered. Instead of dissolving into passive texture, the album carries a restrained intensity — subtle harmonic friction, slow-building tonal weight, a sense of something glowing beneath the surface.

Ata Dune’s approach isn’t about disrupting ambient through volume or excess. It’s about pressure. Small movements matter. Silence is structural. Even the softer passages feel charged, as though they’re holding energy in reserve.

There’s a cinematic quality here, but it’s intimate rather than grand. The compositions unfold like dim light shifting across a room — gradual, warm, deliberate. The result is ambient music that doesn’t float aimlessly; it lingers with intent.

As a debut statement, TEKOSA positions Ata Dune not as a producer chasing atmosphere, but as one shaping it — bringing a controlled heat to a genre often content to remain cool.

Ambient, yes. But alive.
