Stray From The Path final ever Australian Tour

by the partae August 4, 2025
written by the partae

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS ORTHODOX (US) AND DIAMOND CONSTRUCT
ON SALE WEDNESDAY 25TH JUNE VIA DESTROY ALL LINES

After over two decades at the forefront of metal and hardcore, inspiring a generation of fans and artists alike, New York metallic hardcore heroes Stray From The Path have announced their final ever Australian tour this August. The news follows the band’s surprise drop of their latest and last album ‘Clockworked‘ via SharpTone Records, revealed as their swansong to a legacy that will not be forgotten. Joining them on their last lap of the country will be first-time-visitors Orthodox (USA), and local modern-metallers Diamond Construct. Tickets on sale via Destroy All Lines Wednesday 25th June from 11am local time.

The farewell tour will celebrate the band’s reign as monsters of metal since 2001 and will begin at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Friday 15th August and will travel through Manning Bar in Sydney, King St Bandroom in Newcastle, 170 Russell in Melbourne, Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide and will conclude at Magnet House in Perth on Friday 22nd August (Diamond Construct not appearing in Perth).

Over their two decades, Stray From The Path have achieved a kind of longevity rarely seen in hardcore. With each successive release and countless shows and tours across the globe, members Tom Williams (guitar), Drew Dijorio (vocals), Anthony Altamura (bass) and Craig Reynolds (drums) have evolved the band into a behemoth of groove-laden, metallic hardcore riffing and hip hop-influenced vocal cadences. Across the years, the band embraced their position as an opportunity to plant seeds for change in an increasingly dark socio-political climate, and playing to ever-growing crowds of young music fans is a responsibility they’ve never taken lightly. Their discography and live show speak volumes, and with ‘Clockworked’ they leave on a high – furious, vital, and true to themselves.

Joining the tour as main support is Nashville/Columbus-based quintet Orthodox. Similar to peers like Knocked Loose, Harms Way and Jesus Piece, the band mutate metal’s most groovy elements into a molten alloy as scalding as it is dense. From the floor to a massive stage, from hardcore to metal, and everything in between, Orthodox have built a name on fervent, visceral live shows. With their most blunt album both lyrically and musically, the wrecking ball that is ‘A Door Left Open‘, shatters expectations and minds of fans of metal and hardcore alike. Their powerful alloy ensures it doesn’t matter if there was… A Door Left Open or not, with their latest album, they’ve kicked theirs off its hinges – if not turned it into dust.

Opening all shows bar Perth is Diamond Construct. From their humble beginnings in Taree (NSW), Diamond Construct have cemented their foundations with commitment to dreams of something greater. Many laps of Australia alongside such heavy-hitters as Greyscale labelmates Justice For The Damned, Alpha Wolf and Prompts (JPN), international acts Emmure (US), Bury Tomorrow (US) and Kingdom of Giants (US) have created a base of loyal, frothing fans, recognising that there’s no better place for Diamond Construct than on a big stage, commanding the energy and putting everything into their show from the first note to the last.

This is your last chance to catch Stray From The Path in a city near you. Tickets available Wednesday 25th June at 11am local time via Destroy All Lines.

written by the partae

The Dreggs Release Their Sophomore Album “The Art of Uncommon Practice” After a Successful Australian Tour, Now Kicking Off Extensive International Shows.

Big news! The Dreggs’ highly anticipated sophomore album, “The Art of Uncommon Practice,” dropped worldwide on July 25th, and the fan response has been incredible. This release is a huge milestone, capping off a successful Australian tour and setting the stage for our biggest international push yet. The album truly showcases the evolution of Paddy and Zane’s unique indie-folk sound.

Listen Now!

Australian indie-folk duo The Dreggs, comprised of Paddy Macrae and Zane Harris, are riding a wave of critical acclaim and overwhelming fan support following the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, “The Art of Uncommon Practice,” which dropped on Friday, July 25, 2025. The album arrives on the heels of a massively successful Australian tour, which saw the duo captivate sold-out audiences across the country. With their latest musical offering making waves, The Dreggs are now set to embark on extensive tours of the USA and Canada in September, followed by a European and UK leg in October.

Hailing from Australia’s thriving indie-folk scene, The Dreggs have rapidly become one of the country’s most exciting live acts, renowned for their high-energy shows where crowds sing along from start to finish. What began seven years ago as a local cover act on the Sunshine Coast, playing pubs and cafes between surf sessions, has blossomed into a global phenomenon commanding sold-out crowds.

The duo’s impressive trajectory is highlighted by their remarkable growth in recent years. In 2024 alone, The Dreggs performed to over 50,000 fans across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe, a testament to their rapidly expanding international demand. Their 2023 Australian tours saw them sell over 15,000 tickets, delivering their biggest headline and regional tours to date. Their electric live presence was undeniable at Spilt Milk and Yours and Owls Festival, drawing crowds of approximately 10,000 to their sets. The intense demand for their music is further highlighted by the fact that tickets for their recent album release week shows sold out within 48 hours of a single Instagram post.

“The Art of Uncommon Practice” follows their critically acclaimed debut album, “Caught in a Reverie,” which debuted at an impressive #29 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart. Their breakout single, “Give Myself To You,” has been certified Platinum in Australia, cementing their status as a powerhouse in the indie-folk world.

As The Dreggs continue to make significant waves internationally, their momentum shows no signs of slowing. Fans worldwide can look forward to experiencing “The Art of Uncommon Practice” live, as the band prepares for their upcoming tours.

Next Stop: The World!

Following their Australian success, The Dreggs are taking their electrifying live show global with extensive tours across North America and Europe/UK.
