THIS LIFE Candidly Address Effects of Drug & Alcohol Abuse On Mental Health In Video For New Single ‘I’d Lie About Almost Anything’ Out Now

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

London, UK-based alternative rock newcomers THIS LIFE have revealed another new single, ‘I’d Lie About Almost Anything’, with an accompanying music video. The track is out now on all good digital service providers.

Watch and share here: https://youtu.be/NYMS-rZe8vQ

The band are also pleased to announce that they will play their debut live performance supporting US alt-pop quartet Emarosa at The Craufurd Arms in Milton Keynes in January 2019, with further live dates TBA.

Based on personal experiences, the track and video are a candid and vulnerable plea to anyone suffering from mental health problems associated with drug and alcohol dependency to overcome the stigma of asking for professional help.

Front man William Ellis says: “Everybody needs help sometimes, and it’s time to ask for it. When I perform this song or look at the video it does make me sad, because it’s such a raw depiction of myself on display for all to see, but at the same time it’s a celebration to say ‘but I’m still here after everything’.”

Directed and produced by Zak Pinchin, the stark black and white video focuses on the feelings of isolation and frustration that can come from masking mental health problems with drug or alcohol addiction.

Ellis hopes that opening up about his own problems can be part of the larger ongoing conversation around destigmatising mental health, as he explains further: “This song is the most personal I’ve ever written. When I was 13 I experienced a traumatic event that sent me down a path of having panic attacks at school and then on to increasingly worse mental health impairments later in life.

“There’s a lot of frustration still in me about what happened and I know that’s the same for a lot of people, how a few moments can change the course of how you thought your life was going to turn out. The frustration builds and it inevitably turns inwards because you have nobody else to blame a decade of your problems on.

“I spent so long going to doctors and friends telling them ‘I’m okay’ and ‘it will get better just keep the drugs coming’, but the reality is that until you can face yourself honestly then you’re not okay and you won’t get better.”

Anyone struggling with drug and alcohol problems can visit the Talk To Frank website here to find local services who can help: https://www.talktofrank.com

Drawing influence from a range of acts such as Taking Back Sunday, Thursday and Funeral For A Friend to name a few, the new single is another intriguing string to the band’s bow. With a propensity for combining the extremely personal and heartfelt messages contained within vocalist William Ellis’s lyrics with anthemic chorus lines, THIS LIFE are fast proving themselves to be an often emotional and intense listen.

The band entered the studio earlier in 2018 to record a select few tracks with George Daly at The Ranch Production House (Creeper, Milk Teeth, Funeral For A Friend) in Southampton, and the single was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Thrice, Smith Street Band, Fleetwood Mac).

THIS LIFE live dates:

09.01.18 – Milton Keynes – The Craufurd Arms (w/ Emarosa)

TALLIES share new single & video “Easy Enough”. Debut self-titled album due out Jan 11th via Fear of Missing Out Records

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

Emerging Toronto-based Tallies are sharing their new single & video “Easy Enough“, which is taken from their debut self-titled album, due out 11th Jan via Fear of Missing Out Records.

Christopher Mills, who directed the video for “Easy Enough” & has previously worked with the likes of Interpol, Broken Social Scene & Metric, said “Layers of milky video imagery, washes of colour  distorted glass, shoes and horses are the video “reverb” to this wonderful, washy, echo-y tune that makes me want to blow dry my hair all day long, and imagine that I’m racing over the grand canyon in one of the best flying dreams ever. Tallies came to my little studio and jammed, goofed around, and did stupid things with me in front of the camera. They sang the lyrics with their eyes, and used one of my Junos to distort each others images in this gorgeous uplifting song that will make you want to jump in the leaves, or the snow for a whole afternoon.”

Tallies navigate an unfamiliar world on their confident self-titled debut album, which blends elements of shoegaze, dream pop, and surf rock into a fresh sound that’s all their own. Tallies is Sarah Cogan (vocals, rhythm guitar), Dylan Frankland (lead guitar), Cian O’Neill (drums), and Stephen Pitman (bass).

Cogan started music lessons at a young age, learning simple piano melodies and guitar chords that she could sing and write lyrics over. Frankland has also been immersed in music for most of his life, growing up with a music-obsessed father who introduced him to greats like The Smiths, The Sundays, Aztec Camera, and Cocteau Twins. He subconsciously carried these influences into Tallies, which is evident in the Johnny Marr stylings of his guitar riffs and the Robin Guthrie-tinged shoegaze textures of his production. “While writing this album, we were listening to The Sundays Reading, Writing and Arithmetic a lot,” says Frankland, adding, “Harriet Wheeler’s soft-spokenly sweet melodies has a major influence on where Sarah sometimes takes her writing to.”

The album was co-produced by Frankland and Josh Korody at Toronto’s Candle Recordings, a hot spot where locals like Metz, Dilly Dally, Austra, and Weaves have made indie classics. It’s also where Frankland works as an engineer/producer. With upbeat percussion, melodic bass riffs, and magnetic guitar leads, Tallies puts one-of-a-kind melodies to the universal impact of adulthood hitting you square in the face.

Rampage returns to Antwerp for 10-year Anniversary

Rampage 2019 Weekend

Antwerp, Belgium

Tickets | https://bit.ly/2PbanhY

Rampage is the biggest drum & bass and dubstep party in the world and it returns to the Belgian city of Antwerp from March 29th to 30th for the 10th anniversary of the event, with another monstrous line-up featuring the likes of Excision, Andy C, Sub Focus, Wilkinson, Dimension, Funtcase, Dion Timmer, DJ Hazard, Herobust, Murdock, Macky Gee, DJ Hype, Alix Perez, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Dubloadz, Feint, Fox Stevenson, Koven, MC Mote, Spag Heddy, Tantrum, Desire, and tens more.

Always one of Europe’s biggest gatherings, the event successfully expanded to two days in 2018 and does so again this year with more than 30,000 people expected to attend each day, flying in from more than 55 different countries. To match the huge scale of the event, the line-up is equally giant with the biggest names in the scene, from fresh up and comers to enduring legends. Audio visual production is also out of this world and is part of the reason this event has become such a regular pilgrimage for drum & bass fans around the world.

All this goes down at The Antwerp Sportpaleis, one of Europe’s largest indoor spaces and one that becomes a mesmeric and immersive rave haven thanks to the light, lazer and visuals production that’s on the level of Tomorrowland, Awakenings and EDC, or even surpasses it.

Heading things up is Excision, the North-American producer who has become the most in-demand artist in the bass music world, largely thanks to an insane level of visuals and production, which he will all bring to Rampage. He has released on deadmau5’s mau5trap label but has mainly been pushing his music on his own imprint and in late 2018 he released his fourth studio album Apex. He’s been at the forefront of a musical revolution that has squashed all competition in North America and is bringing through tons of new artists.

Sub Focus and Wilkinson had a huge summer playing for Together in Ibiza so bring their widescreen bag of multi-genre tricks, Critical Music and Shogun Audio star Alix Perez is one of drum & bass’s most revered and stylistically hard to pin down producers and then come legends like DJ Hype as well as Ram Records boss Andy C who is a long time godfather of the scene, and DJ Hazard, a close Playaz and Ganja Records associate who has defined the scene for twenty years and played regularly at Fabric with the famous Playaz party. You can also look forward to hot young stars like Feint from Liquicity Records and Monstercatt, liquid, dubstep and house producer Fox Stevenson plus Funtcase, who played at Rampage 2018 and was one of the year’s standout acts.

For big bass look no further than Herobust from Mad Decent, while founding father Murdock brings his fresh club styles and jump up man Macky Gee is coming off the back of his fourth and most confident album to date. Tens more names like Dubloadz, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Fox Stevenson, Benny L, Bredren, Bukez Finezt, Infekt, K Motionz, Muzzy, Signal and Skeptical all bring a broad array of styles to complete this famously supersized party, and these are not even half of all the acts that will be playing the Rampage 2019 Weekend.

The countdown is now on to Rampage 2019, which promises to be the biggest and best edition yet.

THE YACHT CLUB Stream Gorgeous New Single ‘In Amber’ Released 7th December 2018

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

London math/emo/shoegaze quartet The Yacht Club are pleased to share another new single from their recently announced debut album, The Last Words That You Said To Me Have Kept Me Here And Safe, which is set for release on 25th January 2019 via Beth Shalom Records.

‘In Amber’ is the latest track to be taken from the record, a golden autumnal reflection on growing older and moving on, whilst still holding onto the formative memories of youth. The single will be released on all good digital service providers on 7th December 2018.

With guitarist Jack Holland taking the helm on lyric writing and vocal duties for this track—one of a clutch of songs on the record penned that he penned—he explains of the inspiration behind the single: “This particular song is about some old friends who, in hindsight, often made me feel quite bad about myself just through being dismissive and belittling.

“These were people I shared my formative years with and ‘In Amber’ is about the disconnect between missing how those experiences made me feel, but not missing all of the people I shared them with.

“The end of the last chorus is a shout out to a very old friend of mine. We had left a house party in the small hours and were talking about ‘doing a notebook’ and laying in the road (like Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams do in The Notebook), so we did. It’s one of my fondest memories but I absolutely do not recommend doing it.”

Musically the single takes inspiration from Phoebe Bridgers, and one of the lyrics on the track—”the rays highlight the dents you left in me”—is a loose reference to ‘Always Be’ by friend of the band Natalie Evans.

“That song resonates in the same place for me,” explains Holland, “remembering something fondly but recognising that there’s negativity attached to the memory of a person.”

The Yacht Club will play a special album launch show planned for 26th January 2019 at The Sebright Arms in London, with further live dates TBA.

Revisiting some of the year’s biggest tracks in techno, Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD Records presents ‘Best of MOOD 2018,’ mixed by label favorite Carlo Ruetz. Available for digital download December 21 and featuring artwork from mixed media fine artist, Peter Max-Jakobsen, the release comes as only the second compilation from the MOOD Records imprint after surpassing a milestone 50 releases in 2017. Delivering the stomping four track ‘Stormer’ EP this past June — which saw plays from the likes of Adam Beyer and Anja Schneider — Nicole Moudaber taps fast rising star Carlo Ruetz for the label compilation. Highlighting MOOD Records original tracks from Fur Coat, POPOF, Stephan Hinz, and remixes forMoby, Nicole Moudaber and Carl Cox, the 12-track compilation represents the label’s leading take on dance music.

“Carlo Ruetz is a hard working talent from Germany that I’ve had my eyes on for many years; his releases can truly do no wrong. We welcomed him to the MOOD family with his ‘Stormer’ EP in June and he also joined me at MoodZONE at BPM Portugal earlier this year. So naturally I’ve selected him to help me compile and mix the Best of MOOD 2018 because I knew he would deliver an impressive mix showing his dedication to the craft.” – Nicole Moudaber

Opening with Wigbert’s “Moonlight,” the nine minute acid saga builds until the rattling percussive beat ofStephan Hinz’s “Conspiracies” takes the lead. Teaming up for their MOOD Records debut, Italian techno maestros ANNA V & M.I.T.A., transport listeners to another dimension with the warping sounds of “Through The Wormhole” followed by the minimal, yet transforming motif from SUDO’s “Abstract.” As the first of his two tracks on the compilation, Carlo Ruetz’s “Surrender” sets the perfect stage for theTruncate peak-hour remix of Nicole Moudaber and Carl Cox’s classic number, “See You Next Tuesday.” Turning to a remix from the MOOD Records label boss herself, Nicole Moudaber crafts a spellbinding, ambient techno atmosphere with her innovative take on Moby’s “Like A Motherless Child” before the compilation goes into overdrive with Venezuelan duo Fur Coat’s “Spiral” and  “Alone In The Dark” fromPOPOF. The intensity continues with Stephan Hinz’s “Fearless” with its synth hook throughout fading intoSly Faux’s mesmerizing “This Made You.” Rounding out the mix with another of his tracks, Carlo Ruetz stays true to MOOD Records’ sound with a dark attitude on “Silence.”

It has been another landmark year for the dance music brand Nicole Moudaber conceived nearly six years ago. Continually expanding its influence on today’s biggest names and tomorrow’s future stars, the imprint regularly stands tall in the vast techno-sphere. With her experience as a promoter, Nicole Moudaber’s brand has evolved into event concept takeovers with MoodRAW, which included a debut show in Belgrade and Barcelona. Also taking off on the international festival circuit, her MoodZONE stage takeovers have landed to the forefront of dance music with a slot at The BPM Festival: Portugal. After launching her award-winning Mixcloud radio show In The Mood in 2014, Nicole now commands an army of 20 million listeners weekly in 80 countries. The show’s success has also resulted in the invitation to be one of just a handful of artists to be involved in the launch of Mixcloud Select, where she’ll be donating 100% of the first years proceeds to her ELEVEN campaign, which aims to end the brutal practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) worldwide.

‘Best of MOOD 2018’ Mixed by Carlo Ruetz is out December 21 via MOOD Records and will be available on Beatport.

GEMMA RAY announces UK tour. Album ‘Psychogeology’ out Feb 15th – hear “Blossom Crawls” now

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae
Pictured: ‘Psychogeology’ artwork

Following the recent announcement of new album ‘Psychogeology’ for release on February 15th 2019 via Bronzerat, Essex-raised, Berlin-based Gemma Ray has shared new tour dates, including a UK run in March.

The newly announced dates are:
Feb 28: Ramsgate Music Hall
Mar 1: Leek, Foxlowe Arts Centre
Mar 2: Hebden Bridge, Trades Club
Mar 3: Newcastle, Cobalt
Mar 5: London, Dalston Victoria

While others have, in recent years, helped popularise the term ‘psychogeography’ – the urge to explore the urban environment and its impact, consciously and subconsciously – Ray is drawn to the time-defying, time-defining outcrops that exist beyond our cities, and the manner in which this natural architecture underlines “how small we are, how trivial the most unsurmountable of our personal problems”.

The first glimpse at this self-produced new album is the reverb-drenched, 70s pop swagger of “Blossom Crawls”, scattered with echoes of Fleetwood Mac, which tackles a specific incident – a panic attack in the back of a taxi – her overwrought sensation that “Blossom crawls back into its buds” transformed into an affirmative resolution to “put a stop to its cruel tricks/ Gonna get there first to soften the hit”.

The word ‘rock’ has many connotations, but for Gemma Ray, the most important is probably not the one you’d expect most musicians to nurse. The Essex-raised, Berlin-based singer and songwriter clings to its most fundamental definition, insisting that, when she takes to the road – as she did almost unremittingly in the year following the release of her last album, 2016’s acclaimed ‘The Exodus Suite’ – she find the time to explore the landscape that touring can reveal. In Ray‘s world, the word conjures up images of the grand, twisted formations she’s seen while travelling the world, whether in the immense deserts of the US or among the carved mountains of New Zealand.

It’s the development of Ray’s emotional connection to such spectacular scenes that lies deep at the heart of‘Psychogeology’, which, in keeping with its subject matter, represents Ray’s most ambitious release to date, its intricate arrangements and textures – including choral and string arrangements – the result of almost a year’s labour determinedly hewn from rare periods of time available between tours. The album, she says, is “an ode to the majesty of landscape, the enormity of nature and time, and the inevitability of every human life eventually forming a minuscule part of further landscapes.”

Ray has worked alongside, among others, Sparks (who in fact produced Ray covering their own songs), Suicide’sAlan Vega (their collaboration turned out to be one of his final recordings), Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), Thomas Wydler (The Bad Seeds) and arranger Fiona Brice. She was also invited to perform with Potsdam, Germany’s legendary Filmorchester Babelsberg, and this December she’ll join them again, this time with Peaches, Einstürzende Neubauten’s Jochen Arbeit and other special guests as part of The Can Projekt, a celebration of ground-breaking ‘krautrock ‘pioneers Can taking place at Berlin’s famed Volksbühne Theatre.

‘Psychogeology’, however, documents Ray’s troubles, yet simultaneously expresses with zeal the ways in which she’s surmounted them to find her place in the world. On the timeless ‘Psychogeology’ – a journey that celebrates triumphs over tribulations – Gemma Ray offers rock for all ages.

‘Psychogeology’ track list:
1. Blossom Crawls (YouTube | Spotify)
2. Death Tapes
3. It’s Only Loneliness
4. In Colour
5. Flood Plains
6. Psychogeology
7. Land of Make Believe

The last month of the year is here and elrow Music wants to start the celebration early, with the release of its ERM 145th reference, in the form of a Various Artists EP. And this isn’t just any other EP. ‘elrow In Stereo Vol.1′ is the first collaboration between yours truly, elrow Music, and Stereo Productions, the worldwide recognized platform of Chus & Ceballos. In this first take, the Stereo crew has taken over our headquarters and have tailored a high rolling EP, with tracks by Chus & Ceballos with Melé, Danny Serrano, David Herrero and Rafa Barrios – all of them, familiar faces of the Stereo family -. Without a question, one of the big highlights of this V.A. is Chus & Ceballos collab with Melé, showing off their studio trickery. ‘Galera (Original Mix)‘ is the track, that starts with a shy energy, but thanks to the African percussion, the atmosphere and melodies that guide the track, the chanted vocals and the overall progression its turn itself into a techy beast, perfect for peak times on the dancefloor. Danny Serrano‘s take is perfectly recognizable in ‘Levy’s Tale (Original Mix)‘, a straight, pitch down, tech house affair, that breks into madness after a great vocal momentum. On the other hand, David Herrero‘s ‘Rokhaus (Original Mix)‘ has a more techno-like vibe, with a darker atmosphere but keeping the housy progression, topped by a great vocal line that appears by the end of the track. With the same kind of vibe, Rafa Barrios takes part in the EP with ‘Kalengo (Original Mix)‘, a deep tech house kind of track, with a truly amazing organ momentum just in the middle of the song, that breaks into total madness making this another outstanding dancefloor bomb. And keep tunes, as this story will continue with our takeover of Stereo Productions! Watch this space!

ONUR BRINGS THE HEAT WITH ‘I DON’T KNOW WHY I FALL IN LOVE’

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

“A unique perspective, both musically and lyrically.” – EARMILK
“With his supernatural voice and his lo-fi productions, the young singer and producer might very well impose himself on the British music scene.” – Konbini
“ONUR really cannot be put into a box and that’s really a great thing to be able to say.” – Fashionably Early
“The sensual, chill vibes you’ve been looking for.” – EUPHORIA

ONUR continues to peel the layers of his heart and art with his new single I Don’t Know Why I Fall In Love, available on all streaming platforms on November 26.

Drawing on 90’s rnb and Latin music influences, the 22-year-old versatile artist reflects with despair on past embraces with a former partner, lamenting a passion that is now long gone. “The song started as this Latin style track, because I think that those Argentinian style strings you hear in tango and the likes always have this romance and passion behind it”, describes ONUR who wrote and produced the languid last dance. “Carrying on from the theme of my break-up and me not getting over it, I Don’t Know Why I Fall In Love reflects on my thoughts of her a while after the relationship ended, and how I’m still stuck in heartbreak, yet don’t want to be, therefore blaming myself for being in love, he says of the track ending on a new tempo with an explosive and brassy drop. I wanted this song to be way more intimate so it came across more like an open letter to her. Music, to me, is a visual experience, even if the track doesn’t have visuals. And with this song, I just imagine the idea of her.”

ONUR launched his career with the singles Beamin’ and Stunnah after an extensive time spent on various renowned stages. The Londoner has already attracted rave reviews and support from EARMILK, Konbini, Cosmopolitan, Lost Culture, Martin Garrix, KRCW and many more. ONUR’s highly anticipated debut EP is scheduled for early 2019.

E.PARKER RELEASES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW SINGLE ‘GODSPEED’

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

Today, UK via Australia moody pop chanteuse E.PARKER (f.k.a. PARKER) releases her highly anticipated new single ‘Godspeed‘. Teaming up with producer Gethin Pearson (ALMA, Kele Okereke) the single sees E.PARKER take her sultry pop sound to new heights, pairing her etherial and broody vocals with haunting melodies taking blood from the vein of storytelling raconteur Lana Del Rey with lyrics of undulated decadence and masochistic obsession. Premiering now on The Line Of Best Fit, listen to ‘Godspeed‘ HERE.

When discussing the inspiration for ‘Godspeed’, E.PARKER says, “I left Australia when I was 18, to make music in London. I was very lost at the time, bought a one way ticket and didn’t go back home for almost 4 years. I wrote ‘Godspeed’ recently, as a letter to that version of myself, because I’m proud of that girl and the journey she’s had. I hope that the track can resonate with anyone else who is on the edge and about to take a chance, because I’ve come to learn that it’s always worth it.”

The single precedes the release of her debut EP ‘The Life Illusion‘, released earlier this year which included the single ‘High‘ which landed a coveted spot on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist and ‘Thighs‘, her breakout track that has already racked up over 250K streams and landed her a synch on MTV’s Catfish. Hailed by Breaking More Waves as “midnight menacing electronic pop music” with HillyDilly adding “expect a bright future for her”, the 21-year-old musician songstress is one to keep your eyes on for 2019.

Born in Doncaster, brought up in Australia, and now living in Hackney, E.PARKER has had anything but a conventional life. Saying her goodbyes to her family in Australia and buying a one way ticket to England to focus on her music career, she hasn’t looked back since. Spending much of last year writing and recording new material and now with four incredible songs under her belt, E.PARKER remains one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in recent years, ready to show the world what this Aussie is made of.

“Eschewing much of the rippling electronica of previous efforts, ‘Godspeed’ is no less moody thanks to E.PARKER’s hushed tones, taking blood from the vein of storytelling raconteur Lana Del Rey with lyrics of undulated decadence and masochistic obsession.” – The Line Of Best Fit

“Few people deserve to be getting attention more than E. PARKER” – The 405

“PARKER is ready to own 2018” – C-Heads

“Midnight menacing electronic pop music” – Breaking More Waves

“Expect a bright future for her’” – HillyDilly

“Enveloping dream pop…that takes its cues from Lana and Lorde” – Dork Magazine

PHIL HANCOCK RELEASES “HEAVEN” MUSIC VIDEO

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

Australian pop artist Phil Hancock today released the music video for his latest single, “Heaven”. His first release in over 4 years, “Heaven” marks the opening chapter to a collection of pop gems being released by Phil throughout 2019.

“Heaven” explores the breakdown of a relationship – the pain, confusion and desperation in being left alone and the lengths you’d go to just to be with that person.

In the video, Phil performs the song alone in darkened rooms as objects come crashing down around him. Meanwhile, featured dancer Kelsey Riachi gives a heartbreaking interpretative dance to the song.

“I wanted the video to feel dark and claustrophobic,” he says, “to evoke that feeling of being empty and hurt by the departure of someone close to you.”

Released independently, “Heaven” has, in a few weeks, amassed over 30,000 streams across YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music, and it continues to grow.

Originally a songwriter to other artists behind the scenes, Phil says it’s time to step out to tell his own stories and share his journey as an independent gay pop artist in Brisbane, Australia.

He’s spent the past three years publishing a discography of relaxing piano music, performing traditional Balkan music throughout Europe and America, as well as producing and writing songs for other performers. He’s put all that behind him now to take a shot at being a pop artist in his own right.

2018 has been a rollercoaster year of change and growth, and Phil is pouring it all into this next chapter of music. Describing his new sound, Phil says it is “dance-’til-you-cry music.”

Xinobi drops Far Away Place (Rampa Remix)

by the partae December 6, 2018
written by the partae

“The remix is a bubbling, perpetually evolving piece of electronics, something that refuses to settle in one place” – Clash Magazine

For years now Xinobi has been the staple of the Portuguese electronic music scene, dominating that deep house and techno sound has seen him make a mark not only in his own country but right across Europe and further afar.

As another incredibly busy and rewarding year for draws to a close, he is pleased announce that he will be closing out the year with the release of the long-awaited Rampa Remix of his runaway hit, ‘Far Away Place’. Taken from last year’s sophomore album ‘On The Quiet’, ‘Far Away Place’ has since taken Xinobi a thrilling journey, pleasing crowds the world over and amassing close to five million streams.

Xinobi says: ““This song already has a reputation and I am really happy with this collaboration. I have recieived countless messages and requests for this one ever since Rampa has been including it in his DJ sets and on keinemusik radio shows. We deliberately left it shrouded in mystery but I am thrilled people have been able to discover it organically, so it made sense to finally release it”

The song’s reputation is set to be cemented with this collaboration. Rampa, needs no introduction, similarly neither does this remix, with it already having become an exclusive staple of Rampa’s live set’s, often shrouded in mystery, it has gained a cult following with Xinobi receiving countless messages and requests as to its identity.

Since 2009, Rampa made a name of himself through Keinemusik, his own little d.i.y.-cosmos, being not only label, but also crew of likeminded DJs, producers and friends. The teamwork within this realm has seen a serious number of premier productions and collaborations, particularly with fellow producer &ME, not to forget the rest of the bunch, Adam Port, Reznik and Monja, Ry X, Honey Dijon and Pastaboys. With a huge array of collaborations and releases already under his belt, put out on imprints like Cocoon, Innervisions, Freerange, Crosstown Rebels. When it comes to DJing, he often adopts a less is more approach believing that consciousness is more essential to his artistic persona than ever before. A fact that evidently communicates through his music.

Despite Xinobi’s appetite for devouring various sounds and genres, there is a unique watermark and consistency to his output, due not least to his musical and arrangement-based skills. After releasing a few solid ep’s and two full lengths album’s Xinobi has gained real recognition among established and well-known artists and opinion-makers, and his underground cult has amplified.

Together they are excited to finally reveal and release this remix, as Rampa joins Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, Tensnake, Pete Herbert and many others in a long line of artists who have remixed the song only adding to its story and acclaim.

Xinobi’s ‘Far Away Place’ (Rampa Remix) will be released on November 30th, through Xinobi’s ever-growing influential label Discotexas.
