STMPD RCRDS, founded by Martin Garrix, has become a household name the past years. Operating from their studio in Amsterdam they release new music weekly including some big hits like ‘In The Name Of Love’, ‘Scared To Be Lonely’, ‘X’s’, ‘Lynx’ and more. They currently have artists such as Julian Jordan, Todd Helder, TV Noise, Dyro and Loopers under their wing and are still expanding rapidly.
The stage at Ultra Miami next year follows after STMPD stages at other festivals such as Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound and their own label night during Amsterdam Dance Event.
Brooks’ chopped-up electro house version begins peacefully, building with muted keys and warm bass before exploding into a stuttering, euphoric groove. An epic main break makes good use of the melody before returning to the irresistible groove.
New York producer Infuze serves up a bright and breezy house number that combines classic stabby house chords with a plump bassline. He cuts up Yung’s ad-libs to great effect to provide another layer of rhythmic energy that really drives the track along.
SLVR gives the track one of his inimitable Booshi makeovers, taking it in a very different direction with those dark sounds. The breakdowns are tense and dramatic, and the resonating bass sounds of his killer groove is powerful and moody.
Garrix debuted a brand new show concept, ANIMA, during his two sold out Amsterdam Dance Event shows at the RAI. ANIMA is a story that features four chapters: ‘Consciousness’, ‘Void’, ‘Transcendence’ and ‘Worlds’.
The show was truly an art form and luckily it’s now available for everyone to see.
