Dizzy Fae Shares Hypnotising, Sex Pop Single 'Body Move'
DIZZY FAE SHARES NEW SINGLE
‘BODY MOVE’

+ NEW EP ANTENNA OUT MAY 26

“This early aughts-sounding banger from Dizzy Fae is like a club anthem for robots.”
– Nylon

Minneapolis vocalist and pop experimentalist Dizzy Fae has shared her effervescent new single ‘Body Move‘. The release is accompanied by a colourfully provocative video, directed by Will Tooke. The video reflects Fae’s multitudes from its opening scene inspired by classic Disney Channel shows like Hannah Montana – laugh track and all – to its sex-positive, self-assured lyrics to the colorfully trippy Mario Kart-esque ride Fae takes looking for inspiration in the world around her. The release coincides with the announcement of her upcoming EP Antenna, out May 26.

Dizzy says ‘Body Move’ is about ‘moving your body, it’s giving confidence, it’s giving there’s no better time than now, it’s giving get into your body now! I want people to feel good about themselves while listening to this.’

Dizzy Fae is a 21-year-old interdisciplinary artist on a mission to interrogate the nuances and liberties of love and human connection. Born in St. Paul and based in Minneapolis, Fae is mixed-race and queer, and her art is an extension of her fluid nature and constant state of transformation. Belonging everywhere and nowhere. In her attempt to unearth the unknown from within, Fae frolics through the fringes of genre, laying her observations bare with burning confidence and an uncompromising spirit. Fae’s multi-dimensional talents are the product of conservatory training, years spent studying dance and vocal performance in a variety of genres including opera and jazz.

Dizzy Fae emits a ‘godlike serenity’ (Paper) and has shared the stage with artists from Jorja Smith to Kehlani to Snoh Aalegra and Lizzo, who hand-picked Dizzy to open on a sold-out tour mere weeks after her high school graduation. The proud BIPOC queer singer has amassed millions of streams worldwide along with critical acclaim from The New York Times, Pitchfork, Billboard, Vogue UK, Wonderland Magazine, Teen Vogue, and more. Antenna will be released via Downtown Records/The Orchard and marks Dizzy’s first EP since 2019’s critically-acclaimed No GMO Mixtape as she emerges with a new genre-bending sound she describes as ‘sex-pop’, inspired by the likes of Missy Elliott and Peaches.
