WAAX, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Bakers Eddy, Cry Club and TOWNS came together to put on a show at Stay Gold in Brunswick, and with less than 24 hours notice had sold out the venue. Falls Festival were forced to cancel their Lorne event due to extreme weather conditions and fire threat at the 11th hour, leaving many bands without shows to play over the New Years period. Rather than resting on their laurels, WAAX from Brisbane, Teen Jesus from Canberra, TOWNS from Adelaide and Bakers Eddy and Cry Club from Melbourne decided to band together to support the Victorian CFA.
