How did you start?
I just started playing guitar when I was about 8 and just kept going with it!
Where are you based?
Mackay, Queensland.
Please give an example of your music writing process?
I usually write when I am feeling something really emotionally and I usually come up with a chord progression, then the melody and then the lyrics!
What are you working on right now?
I’m working on a few songs at the moment to go and record for my album!
How did you find the recording process?
I love recording! It’s so cool to see such a small thing become something completely different and experiment with sounds and instruments!
How you wanted the EP/album/single to sound at first, how that changed during recording?
I think how it’s sounding is how I imagined it, obviously with little changes but it’s pretty accurate! Im loving the sounds!
Stories from recording/writing?
I got to write with one of my fave bands Little May, which was probably one of the highlights of my life, such a huge fan and they are such beautiful humans!
What is your gear setup?
Just an acoustic guitar and mic but I’m hoping to change it up soon and start using my telecaster and my pedals in live shows!
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
Music is basically my whole life, everything revolves around it so when I’m not doing it I’m usually just hanging out with friends and having some downtime! Or watching How I Met Your Mother!
How would you describe your music genre?
This is a tough one I get asked, I kinda think it’s a mix of indie-rock and pop, and elements of folk!
Do you know any music theory?
Not at all!
What are your plans for the future?
Hopefully to tour around the world, play festivals, travel and just make a living off of music!
How did you get into music?
I grew up with music around me, mum and dad were always playing music and I’d been singing since I could talk so I guess it’s always been something that I love!
What are you listening to at the moment?
Soooo much, I love Methyl Ethel, The Jungle Giants, Skegss, Dune Rats, San Cisco, Middle Kids! I listen to so much different music it’s not funny!
