Jesse Porsches: bringer of the vibes and occasional dad jokes.

Where are you currently based?

Jesse Porsches: Sydney, Australia.

You’re currently working on your official remix of the Major Lazer track ‘Know No Better right now, how is the remix coming along?

Jesse Porsches: The remix just recently dropped! It’s done over 25k streams already so feeling good about it all.

How did this collaboration come about?

Jesse Porsches: Our label asked if we wanted to be a part of it and we jumped at the chance! We have always been huge fans of Major Lazer

What’s the plan for the remix once released?

Jesse Porsches: it’s been released as part of the Major Lazer official package so across all their socials, Spotify, music blogs. We have also been playing it out a fair bit.

How do you go about deciding how to approach remixing tracks?

Jesse Porsches: i think the most important thing is trying to find a new twist/angle on the original song.

What influences your style?

Jesse Porsches: At the moment I’m really into Cashmere Cat/Sophie/Mura Masa

You’re playing at Split Milk in Canberra, what can we expect from this show?

Jesse Porsches: Expect new music and a secret live guest vocalist or two.

How do you prepare for each show?

Jesse Porsches: We try and plan out the music as much as possible before the show.

How did you get into electronic music?

Jesse Porsches: I used to just make stuff at home as a hobby and it gradually turned into a job.

Favourite food and place to hang out?

Jesse Porsches: I love Japanese food + studio hangs are my favourite.
