FAKE SHORE DRIVE REVEALS ADDITION OF BIG TYMERS REUNION TO ANNIVERSARY SHOW 30 Days. 70+ Can’t Miss Artists. One Month in Chicago.

“Red Bull, the energy drink company, has also established itself as a bona fide, largely unobtrusive patron of the arts. This month-long music festival at venues across Los Angeles features au courant headliners… and hand-picked up-and-comers.” – The New York Times on 30 Days in LA

CHICAGO, IL (OCTOBER 23RD, 2017) – Red Bull Sound Select is bringing it’s 30 Day festival to Chicago every night in November 2017.  Previously held in Los Angeles for the last three years,  the month-long music festival will feature 70+ can’t-miss artists in venues throughout Chicago, exclusive to Red Bull Sound Select members.

Long time Red Bull Sound Select curator Fake Shore Drive has announced an incredible line-up celebrating the who’s who of Chicago’s hip hop scene as part of the iconic site’s 10th Anniversary show.  In a historic reunion- Big Tymers (Birdman & Mannie Fresh) will join the bill. The New Orleans duo released their last album in 2003 and Big Tymers’ Billboard #1 hit, “Still Fly” was released the year prior. Additional special guests will join Big Tymers and previously announced artists Tee Grizzley.  The Chicago based hip-hop blog has been an integral part of the scene as an early champion of artists such as Chance the Rapper, Chief Keef, Mick Jenkins, Lil Durk and Vic Mensa. In 2013 Fake Shore Drive founder Andrew Barber joined Red Bull Sound Select as a curator for the Midwest, helping to elevate the careers of up and coming acts.

Red Bull is also announcing details for two of their community nights. On November 6th, they will host the Music + Photo Masterclass, a special conversation with veteran music photographers Jason Peterson and Jeremy Deputat who will reflect on their experiences as well as give advice to aspiring photographers. On November 13th, Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Chicago will host a Music + Tech event featuring  the Head of Artist Curation at Apple Music, Carl Chery to discuss music discovery and the use of technology in conversation with Fake Shore Drive’s Andrew Barber.

Discogs‘ Crate Diggers Record Fair series in partnership with Red Bull Sound Select’s  30 Days In Chicago, and performing artists Poliça and Ohmme have created something extraordinary for Night 5 of 30 Days In Chicago. A limited-edition 7-inch single available exclusively to fans at Crate Diggers Chicago. The first 750 fans through the doors on November 5th will have the opportunity to add a limited-edition, hand-numbered, black-and-white splattered vinyl, 7-inch single to their collection that includes Poliça’s cover of Crass’ “Shaved Woman” on the A-Side and Ohmme’s “Wheel” on the B-Side. The 7-inch will be available for free on a first come, first served basis with a redeemable token given to attendees upon entry to the Discogs’ Crate Diggers After Party at 7 pm. Poliça and Ohmme will be performing at the November 5th event taking place  at House of Vans.
