Blasterjaxx combine with Wasback & D3FAI on Flight 49

Listen Now

Blasterjaxx team up with the Italian Wasback and Argentinian D3FAI for a huge track in the shape of Flight 49.

These young talents came up with the original idea for the track and sent it to Blasterjaxx, who heard serious potential in it. They suggested a collaborative effort, and now the finished track sees the light of day via their very own Maxximize Records.

Launching immediately into a mind-warping build whose huge upwards thrust mirror the aviation theme, Flight 49 quickly drops into a bouncing, skippy house beat with manic bleepy melodies creating a sense of hysteria. The airline vocals and sound effects of planes taking off add atmospheric layers as an epic, commanding melody swells. The driving bass and crazy riffs are fired back up when the track drops, and all in all it’s an excellent combination of four highly creative minds.

Blasterjaxx gave this one an airing during Amsterdam Dance Event at SLAM! MixMarathon at Amsterdam’s huge Ziggo Dome as well as at Don’t Let Daddy Know in Manchester, both occasions eliciting magnificent reactions. With further support from the likes of Nicky Romero, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Hardwell, Yves V and Tom Swoon, it’s destined for massive things.

Wasback & D3FAI ‘Flight 49 (Blasterjaxx Edit)’ will be released on Maxximize Records. Grab your copy here

BLASTERJAXX JOIN FORCES WITH SINGER UHRE FOR THE BANGER ‘BIZARRE’

by the partae October 10, 2017
written by the partae

Listen Now

Blasterjaxx flip the script once again with their glorious new single Bizarre, featuring the vocal talents of Danish artist UHRE. If you think you know what to expect from the ‘jaxx, think again.

Haunting, folky flute melodies weave around bright xylophone-style chords in the intro, with UHRE’s luscious voice cutting through the track satisfyingly. The slo-mo beat takes it up a notch in the succinct build-up, as a massive synth hook blasts into life over the thundering kicks. This refreshing sound from the Blasterjaxx boys is definitely spacious, with plenty of room for each element of the track to breathe.

The vocal hooks are infectious, the lead riff irresistible, and the production super-crispy. Clever filtering and auto-tune effects give the vocal some variety, and the overall feel is that of a serious crossover smash with big room appeal.

Their recent collaboration with Tom Swoon, All I Ever Wanted, has proved to be another massive hit, with over 1.5 million views for the video already. And following a hectic summer, they’re now gearing up for their Maxximize Records Label Night during ADE at Bitterzoet on October 18.

Blasterjaxx team up with Tom Swoon for vocal stunner All I Ever Wanted

Blasterjaxx team up with Tom Swoonv for vocal stunner All I Ever Wanted

Ever keen to show their versatility, the unstoppable boys from Blasterjaxx are back with a glorious vocal anthem that shows a slightly softer side to them—albeit with enough energy to make for a massive dancefloor moment.

All I Ever Wanted is a collaboration with Polish artist Tom Swoon and centers around a powerful female vocal that glistens and glides over the heavenly intro. A crisp trance arpeggio rises as heavily reverbed synths ebb and flow deep in the distance. The chorus lays on thick vocal harmonies and chunky piano chords, with trademark Blasterjaxx snare builds launching us towards the drop. There waits a none-more-euphoric lead riff, fizzing with positive energy as the kicks thump away underneath. The second build takes things even higher, with a stunning slice of vocodered vocal giving pause before the drop. This one has ‘radio hit’ written all over it, overflowing with gorgeous melody and with an infectious song at its heart.

Blasterjaxx recently announced their intimate Maxximize Records ADE party, taking place at Bitterzoet on Wednesday 18 October, and this single follows on from their monstrous edit of Crystal Lake’s Roots. Tom Swoon, meanwhile, scored a big hit on Spinnin’ Records recently with Shingaling and is no stranger to the Maxximize label after the stunning Helter Skelter with Maximals a few months back.

Blasterjaxx & Tom Swoon ‘All I Ever Wanted’ is released via Maxximize Records on September 1. Grab your copy here.

Blasterjaxx turbo-charge electronic duo Crystal Lake’s Roots with massive edit

Blasterjaxx turbo-charge electronic duo Crystal Lake’s Roots with massive edit

Listen Now

Already played on Hardwell’s radio show and early radio support of Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto and of course in Blasterjaxx’s recent set, the duo’s rework of rising duo Crystal Lake’s Roots has been getting dance fans in a serious frenzy across the world. Finally, the time for it to be unleashed is almost here.

The track begins with a filtered down synth arpeggio creating a mystical vibe over taut kick drums. Pitched up vocal slices build the atmosphere, and then an almighty snare build-up launches the track into hyperspace. Tribal kick drum patterns hammer us into submission at the drop with a classic Blasterjaxx riff cutting through the track like a hot knife through butter.

The breakdown lays on the rousing emotions thick, with a glorious, melancholy string motif gliding against the synth arp. Next comes an orchestral string section playing an uplifting melody, with gorgeous synths supporting in tandem and slowly rising out of the background. The triumphant melodies are bolstered with kicks for a quick tease, before the final build takes us into giddy new heights. The contrast between the two sections is spectacular, something Blasterjaxx is so well known for.

Crystal Lake is a fast-rising duo from Israel who have found support from the likes of Tiësto, Showtek and Martin Garrix for their productions, with many millions of Spotify plays to their names and appearances at festivals like Mysteryland. “Our new sound is a combination of cinematic theme based music with hardstyle influenced melodies and powerful drops” they say of their sound.

Crystal Lake ‘Roots’ will be released on Maxximize Records on August 14.

BLASTERJAXX GET SPIRITUAL ON ALMIGHTY TRACK ‘TEMPLE’

by the partae July 18, 2017
written by the partae

Being incontent with releasing not just one, but two storming tracks throughout July in the form of a free-to-download Blasterjaxx Booster Pack, the world-beating duo is back with yet another anthem titled Temple.

Following a mystical vocal snippet marking the introduction of the track, is its echo pulsing into the background as a jaunty beat, led by an exotic melody that springs into action. The spiritual sound of the vox and riff reflect the track its title perfectly, and instead of a frenzied build we move straight from a breakdown onto the drop. Subsequently, the impact is even more intense with thunderous bass reverberating over punchy kicks as the commanding lead synth plays out. Next, the bassline evolves into a pleasing melodic pattern as horn blasts amp up the drama.

Only then comes the epic build, with chord harmonies stacked upon each other, their melodies pulled apart and looped as the FX risers power us into the stratosphere. Evidentially, there are more ideas present in just one track, than some can muster in a year!

Blasterjaxx ‘Temple’ is out on Maxximize Records now.
