YT DINGO CLOSES OUT TRILOGY WITH BREATHTAKING ‘WICKED REST’

Directed by Claudia Sangiorgi Delimore, best known for her work on ‘Her Sound, Her Story‘, the video was filmed in Yugembeh Country (Gold Coast) at the HOTA precinct amphitheatre. ‘Wicked Rest’ is a stunning piece that depicts a real life dance chess game played out with amazing visual choreography, arranged by YT DiNGO himself. It’s an honest tribute to the artists’ talent in music production and dance choreography.

The video is YT DiNGO’s most prestigious yet. The 32-person strong ensemble cast brings the artist’s true vision to life of men versus women in a real life game of chess. Additionally, none other than Richard “Swoop” Whitebear assisted on the project. Swoop has worked with some of the world’s biggest hip-hop and pop artists including MC Hammer, Madonna, J. Lo, Snoop Dogg, Micheal Jackson and more.

The main coast for ‘Wicked Rest’ features Blk Cockatoo of the Yignji people from far North Queensland, Shae Duncan from Gamilaraay (Moree) and Carmel Vale from Dunghutti (Kempsey). Not to mention Dave Atkins (Resin Dogs, Wolfmother, Hydrofunk Records) who played drums and mixed the single as well as Rama Domosi on guitar.

It’s been a massive 12-months for the Gold Coast artist, releasing three videos and appearing at Splendour in the Grass. There is no sign of slowing down with a tour and EP planned for May.
