Where are you currently based?

I’m currently based in the most isolated city in the world Perth Western Australia.

How did you first start playing music?

Well, I had always been in love with music since a young age, I remember waking up early every Saturday morning, tuning into a music video program on ABC called ‘Rage’ and just watching music videos all morning. I then fell in love with Hip-Hop after watching the film ‘Like Mike’ and from there I guess you can say is how I found what type of music I was into. In terms of getting into music I really got into music when I was 16, but only really started taking it seriously and had the desire to take it to a different level when I turned 19.

What’s been happening recently?

Lately I have been focusing on trying to take my sound to a different level and trynna to tap into different sounds that still have the same vibe that I usually go for as well as working on future releases with my team.

Your latest single ‘Cheating’ will be released on October 28, 2021, what influenced the sound and songwriting?
I remember listening to Lil Tjay’s song ‘Calling my phone’ that was on his ‘Destined 2 Win’ album and seeing it all over social media and seeing the way people responded to the song especially on TikTok. It’s a song that people can relate to and a song that people can make memes out of, so I knew what type of song I needed to make.

How did you go about writing Cheating?

I really just used a lil story that one of my boys had told me that he had kinda gone through and fabricated the hell outta it. It was more of me trying to create a story that people may have gone through so they can relate to it.

Where and when did you record/produce/master and who with?

I had bought the beat in June of a producer named prodbem and had it recorded & mixed at The Levels Studio then mastered at Sauna Studios.

How did you approach the recording process?

My recording process is very simple but repetitive. Simple as in, I always make sure I come to the studio prepared with the whole song written down, mainly because I don’t like wasting time and money and would rather punch in as many songs as I can, so everything is pre-written and not made on the spot. When I say repetitive I feel as if my recording and sound engineer Sheldon can relate, when i’m in the booth recording if I feel as if i’m a second late or the pitch in my voice doesn’t sound right or the line I had just punched in didn’t sound the way I envisioned it to sound in terms of matching the way I felt emotionally within the line itself I would have to redo it.

You’ve recently signed to Warner/The Area, how did this come about and what’s happened since?

Well the way it came about was they had been noticing me since I had dropped my track ‘Hmm’ featuring Trilla Venus back in May 2020. But they really tapped in when I did a lil preview of my song ‘Cheating’ and had released it on TikTok. Then one day Russ commented on the video and had shown love to it, was when they really looked more into me and reached out. Now since being signed we have been focusing on the release for ‘Cheating’ and future tracks that will be coming out.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

At the moment my playlist is flooded with many different artists, lately I have been listening to the New wave of LA Music with artists such as Blxst, Bino Rideaux, Kalan FrFr, Mcm Raymond, Mozzy, Joe Maynor, Kyle Banks, Bluebucks Clan and many more.

What do you like to do away from music?

I really just be chilling with my bros and just kicking it playing 2k or Fifa. We usually just hoop, play football, go to the pool table and all nothing really crazy. Apart from Music and being stuck at work there’s not really much time for me to do things I want out of that but when I get the chance I really just be doing what I’ve been doing living life.

What’s planned for the remainder of 2021 going into 2022?

One thing fasho is to be consistent with making bangers on bangers. But really sticking to the plan that we had and going harder after every release so by the time we are fully into 2022 we will have eyes on us.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

I really don’t have a favourite food, but I have favourite combinations when it comes to picking food. So if i’m at a kebab shop my usual is the Chicken Meatbox with hot sauce, sweet chilli, with sour cream that combo never goes wrong. And my favourite place to hangout would probably be the basketball court.
