Los Angeles, CA’s Weezer have released their brilliant eleventh album, Pacific Daydream, today via Crush Music/Atlantic Records.  Produced by Butch WalkerPacific Daydream is the follow up to the critically acclaimed album Weezer (The White Album), which was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album at the end of last year.  The album is available now on on all digital service providers. Fans can sign up to Weezer’s email list for first access to information on their forthcoming tour that will be announced early next week.

In celebration of Pacific Daydream’s release, Weezer will be performing their new single “Happy Hour” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on October 30th, as well as Late Late with James Corden on November 6th.  The band will also be playing a special acoustic instore in their hometown of Los Angeles at Amoeba Records on November 1st.

Pacific Daydream has come out of the gate seeing great reviews including:

“‘Pacific Daydream’ is both exuberant and plaintive; it’s full of songs about past joys and present loneliness, recalling friends and lovers who are no longer part of the singer’s life.” – The New York Times

“Weezer takes its boldest turn, trading power chords for pop” – NPR

“Pacific Daydream is the band at their most self-assured, and for it to come after two well-received records feels like the sunshine-hit-machine direction is a choice, not a test.” – Consequence of Sound

“Pacific Daydream is all carefree, expertly crafted pop” – NME

“Marked by its careful commitment to craft, Pacific Daydream is of a piece with every Weezer album this side of Pinkerton.” – Slate

“Weezer doesn’t always get the credit it deserves because it makes everything look so easy. But on ‘Pacific Daydream,’ the band’s skills and ambitions lead to an impressive set of California-dreaming songs.****” – Newsday

“Weezer are a band at play. Permission to sprinkle Big Sounds over their insta-recognizbale songwriting might not have been something they’d allow themselves in the past, but here it transforms what could’ve easily been ‘churning out more of the same’ into 21st Century alt-pop bops. ****” – DIY

“Big choruses, self-aware lyrics, retro-modern production flourishes – 35 breezy minutes that provide temporary escape from everything that’s happening outside the window. ****” – Q
