What is your name and role within the band?
Joshua Allen-Singer, Guitarist, Writer.
How did you start?
Circa 2008 me and a couple friends were trying to start something because i was a “free agent” and they were kinda looking to start a “side project”.
Where are you based?
Currently,, Kansas City, Mo.
Please give an example of your music writing process?
It’s varied a lot over the years.Currently i’m writing a lot of the bass and drums first and then building and layering on top of that.
What are you working on right now?
We’re currently working on the most elaborate release we’ve ever had. That’s all i really wanna say about it right now. I want it to be a lil surprising.
What is your gear setup?
Amp wise, I’ve been back and forth between a solid state Gibson and a vox ac 30 lately. As far as guitar goes I’ve been back and forth between my Fender Jaguar and my Fernandes Native since 2007. I also use a microKorg for synth and vocoder as well as the roland VE-20.
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
I like to play video games, work out, catch up on my shows, and party. Who doesn’t love a good party? I would say they all affect the music in one way or another.
How would you describe your music genre?
Honestly i try not too, because we blend so much together. Every time i try to describe our sound i don’t feel like i do a very good job. I like to hear what other people say about it when they experience it. I just do what i do and play what i hear and feel.
Do you know any music theory?
maybe on accident. def not on purpose.
What are your plans for the future?
Write, record, tour, repeat.
How did you get into music?
church, school band, and older siblings.
What are you listening to at the moment?
Current releases by:King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Badbadnotgood, Thundercat, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, At the drive in, Kanye West, Chicano Batman.

When are you playing next?
That is TBD. we are working on a lot of new material. once we get this stuff learned we will be playing out a lot. I would say July…..
