UNFD ANNOUNCE LINEUP AHEAD OF MELBOURNE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOWCASE CATCH UP ON THE EXCLUSIVE ANNIVERSARY ECO-FRIENDLY VINYL SERIES + UNFD PODCAST NOW
A crew of UNFD‘s fastest rising acts will descend on The Corner Hotel tomorrow (December 1) for the UNFD 10 Year Anniversary Showcase. UNFD is pleased to reveal the likes of Thornhill, Banks Arcade, Drown This City and Up Late (DJs) will each perform, while label-mate Jack Bergin (Void Of Vision) will also take to the stage with DJ sets throughout the night.
In addition to live music, the showcase will also feature a pop up merch stall, offering punters exclusive access to merch items and limited edition vinyl on the night.
To kick off its 10 year anniversary celebrations earlier this year, UNFD launched an exclusive eco-friendly vinyl re-issue series celebrating some of its most-loved releases from the last decade, as well as an official podcast deep diving into the artists and legacy behind each album. Inspired by the success of In Hearts Wake’s 2020 album KALIYUGA, each record re-press has been produced using recycled materials with no plastic shrink wrap, while the pressing process itself has been carbon offset.
So far the series has celebrated In Hearts Wake‘s acclaimed double-album effort in ‘Earthwalker’ and ‘Skydancer’, Hellions‘ rock-opera masterpiece ‘Opera Oblivia’, show stopping debuts from Dream On Dreamer (‘Heartbound’) and Ocean Grove (‘The Rhapsody Tapes’), Stray From The Path‘s beast-like ‘Subliminal Criminals’ and breakout EP efforts from the likes of Thornhill (‘Butterfly’) and Dream State (‘Recovery’) with re-presses.
Each artist has also joined the Official UNFD Podcast, hosted by The Faction/ex-Triple M’s David Nash for an interview and deep dive into the release, with a further handful of episodes and re-releases still to be revealed before the year is out.

More About UNFD:
In 2011, UNFD was founded as a label rebrand from the already established Boomtown Records (2002-2010). Initially launched as an independent Australian label specialising in hard rock and heavy metal music, UNFD has worked with some of the most iconic Australian artists in the heavy space including The Amity Affliction, Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Thy Art Is Murder, Hands Like Houses and many more.
2021 finds the label with an established global presence, with staff operating out of its offices in London, Los Angeles and Melbourne, and close to half of its current roster consisting of non-Australian artists working with the label globally. A household brand in the Australian heavy landscape, UNFD also assists with the curation of heavy music festival UNIFY Gathering, rebranded its online merch store to the now widely known 24Hundred in 2013, and leads a thriving Facebook community called UNFD Social Club with over 5,000 members.
UNFD is part of the wider UNIFIED Music Group family. Read more about UNIFIED’s brands and services here.
