What is your name and role within the band?
I’m Tobi, I sing.
How did you start?
The other 4 members grew up together and were in bands together through school, they found a video of me singing online and asked me if I wanted to start a new project with them.
Where are you based?
St. Albans, UK.
Please give an example of your music writing process?
We build from riffs and sections, things normally start at Oakley’s (drummer) house where we will track a riff we like, then we each build on it over the course of weeks/ months until we’re sick of it or we feel it’s done. I often write the lyrics and melodies after the instrumentals care completely finished.
What are you working on right now?
We just got back from a pretty heavy few months of touring, we’re going to be doing nothing a bunch of writing over the summer.
What is your gear setup?
Oakley – SJC, Zildjian, Remo, Vic Firth.
Ryan – Kemper and Gibson Les Paul
James – Orange tiny terror, Sans amp, Marshall jackhammer, Fender pawn shop reverse jaguar bass with Seymor Duncan pickups, sennheiser guitar wireless and JH ears.
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
Music is a big part of my life, I own a van and whenever I’m not touring with Trash Boat I’m driving/ tour managing other bands, I’m rarely home anymore but whenever I am I’m pretty simple, chilling with friends, video games, cycling.
How would you describe your music genre?
Eclectic
Do you know any music theory?
I made it to grade 8 guitar when I was a lot younger but have 100% forgotten most of it, I have a music A level but have forgotten a lot of that too haha.
What are your plans for the future?
Haven’t really thought that far ahead, stick around as long as I can or until I am forced to go elsewhere.

My older brother.
