Announces THE MONEY WAR as support on MEG MAC’s forthcoming national tour MEG MAC’s national ‘LOW BLOWS’ tour commences tomorrow night!
MEG MAC kicks off her 23 date, triple j presents ‘Low Blows’ Tour tomorrow night; 20 shows have already sold out and there are very few tickets available for the remaining shows.
MEG MAC’S most extensive Australian tour yet will feature all songs from her album ‘Low Blows’, which debuted at number 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
“I’m so excited to be heading out on tour. I’ll be playing every track from ‘Low Blows’ as well as songs from my EP. I also like to interpret other people’s songs so I’ve been playing around at home with songs by the likes of Sly & the Family Stone and Patti Smith, which I might include into my show”.
Meg has personally chosen The Money War to be her main support for the tour. “I’ve known Dylan & Carmen from The Money Way for a few years now and their new music is so good. They’re going to be joining me for this whole tour”. The Money War have just released a new single “Hold on” which was premiered by Richard Kingsmill’s new music show 2017. ‘Hold on’ is taken from the Money War’s forthcoming album. Access wav file of HOLD ON here.
Also jumping on the tour bus is Georgia Fair who have just arrived back in Australia with a new album, written and recorded during their 12 month sojourn in the London.
“I’m kicking myself for not digging deep into her new record, Low Blows, sooner. Rather than feeling like I was out of the loop though, witnessing a packed crowd echoing every line of every song exemplified the gaping difference between going in knowing what to expect from an artist and the joy of going in blind and coming away a believer. I crowed about her set to anyone who’d listen and fast learned that everyone is already evangelical about her. Now I’ve been converted too”.
