Front Porch Lights

Cleveland’s rising Americana rockers, Front Porch Lights, have released their sophomore EP Go On Ahead. Front Porch Lights worked with producer Jim Stewart (Welshly Arms, Lighthouse and The Whaler) to complete the EP, which is the first release created in cohesive and collaborative unity by the band’s current lineup. A collective spirit shines through these five heartfelt tracks, which The Wild Honey Pie described as “the kind of mid-tempo Americana that we’ve been sorely missing.”

Frontman Conor Standish offered insight into the EP: “This EP is a tribute to togetherness … We all have struggles and it’s a constant battle telling ourselves that we’re not the only ones going through something. Social media constantly reminds us of how “perfect” everyone else’s lives are and that can tend to bottle us up and question our entire existence. That’s a crock of shit and we’re out to prove it. “

NEW EP GO ON AHEAD TO BE RELEASED JUNE 9, 2017

Cleveland’s rising Americana rockers, Front Porch Lights, have released the second single from the forthcoming EP Go On Ahead to be released June 9. Impose premiered “Waiting On A Miracle” today. The empathetic, indie folk anthem chants a common frustration with current events: “They hope and they pray, they hope and they pray it goes away…”

Lead singer, Conor Standish, offered insight into the song’s driving concepts:

“It’s a strange time for human beings. Even with the age of the internet there is so much that’s unknown – partly because of misrepresentation of the truth and partly because people are too lazy to utilize the internet properly and do their own research… This doesn’t just relate to what’s going on politically but it relates to our every day lives. Are you doing something to sculpt your beliefs and become a better person or are you just waiting for someone or something to do it for you?”

Front Porch Lights worked with Cleveland producer Jim Stewart (Welshly Arms, Lighthouse and The Whaler) to complete sophomore EP Go On Ahead. The band will independently release the 5-song collection on June 9. They’ll play an EP release release show on Friday, June 2 at The Winchester in Lakewood, OH.
