The band on everyone’s lips, Cigarettes After Sex today announce the addition of a Sydney headline show to their forthcoming Australian tour. The Brooklyn four piece will play Max Watt’s on Wednesday, January 3 ahead of a hotly ticketed night at The Zoo in Brisbane and two shows at The Corner in Melbourne (one sold out, the other selling fast). The tour announce comes on the back of their stunning eponymous debut album, released earlier this year to universal acclaim and described by The Big Issue as “one of 2017’s most intoxicating debuts.”

Lead singer Greg Gonzalez had a clear vision for his band’s debut album, a gorgeously cinematic work which features singles “Apocalypse”, “K” and “Each Time You Fall In Love”. The album unspools like the most achingly romantic of movies: immersive, cohesive and transporting. Swooning in the spirit of influences such as Mazzy Star and Red House Painters, its sumptuous songs of love elevate Cigarettes to the ranks of those acts who create worlds of their own, exciting the most devoted kind of following.
