Stag & Dagger is Scotland’s original multi venue event and biggest new music showcase, is back in Glasgow this weekend. Known for sourcing the hottest new talent around as well as playing host to acts such as Glasvegas, RIDE, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Slow Readers Club and many more it strikes a healthy balance of new and established.
It really is a festival of discovery as much as you also get to enjoy some of your favourite artists and truly showcases what a large number of brilliant venues there are in Glasgow.
Stag & Dagger organisers, PCL, said: “This weekend music fans across Glasgow will take to the streets again for what promises to be another memorable edition of Stag & Dagger. This years event will follow in the footstep of previous years in hosting a unique mix of established acts, such as seminal post-punks WIRE and local legends Glasvegas as well most exciting up and coming talent from Scotland and further afield. We hope there will be something for everyone to see and discover.”
James Allan, Glasvegas, said: “Since our first album was released we have experienced some memorable shows in Glasgow. Glasgow is the best city in the world so our band need to make it special! I’ve heard people excited by the other bands on the bill too. I saw ‘Freakwave’ play last weekend and thought they are really talented. The people behind the festival know their stuff and have a good sense of style so it feels brilliant to be a part of it.”
