Songwriters @ The Rocks is an original songwriting competition that uses The Rocks Landscape as its stage. As part of Sydney Solstice, Sydney’s new winter event celebrating food and drink, art, entertainment and culture, the concept is aimed to nurture, promote and provide upcoming singer-songwriters a unique opportunity to showcase their talent and to gain industry and public exposure. For the winning singer-songwriters, the program will offer a range of music related prizes. This is a free event for artists over 16, see Competition Entry link below for all details.
The event will run as a free event from 25 May – 20 June 2021, featuring over 40 showcase performances across six key locations in The Rocks, culminating into a live outdoor concert final at First Fleet Park where the singer songwriters will perform alongside established Australian musical talent including: Phil Jamieson, Boo Seeka (acoustic) and Tia Gostelow.
