It’s difficult not to feel moved by the expanse of the group’s oceanic return.

After an absence of over 20 years, Slowdive return with an album that bring
into sharp focus their gifts for pop classicism and experimentation.

For every moment of mediative beauty, there are others
of heart-leaping euphoria.

The Independent, Live Review

Slowdive are pleased to share their new video for Slowdive album cut “Don’t Know Why”. Directed by Grant Singer (The WeekndLordeAriana Grande) and starring Autumn ShellyDuke Nicholson, and Daciana the Dog, the video is presented in three parts: “This video is less about logic and more about a feeling. It’s a triptych about memory, about being lost and abandoned,” says Singer. “Slowdive has been my favourite band since I was a kid. To say that making this video was surreal would be an understatement. Their music has been this gift—this friend that stays with me always and gets better over time. Hearing their new album left me speechless. So having the opportunity to make something for them is an honour that I don’t take for granted.

Slowdive’s self-titled album, released earlier this year on Dead Oceans via Inertia Music to universal acclaim, was their first new record in 22 years. It garnered a slew of praise from the likes of The GuardianThe TimesThe Financial TimesPitchfork and much more. The band are touring Australia for the very first time in 2018, playing nationally with Laneway Festival as well as two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Details below.
