Three paramount musical forces, from different and equally same corners of the country, are binding together for a night guitar-driven, nostalgic bliss. GD FRNDSis honoured to unite Slowcoaching, Ro and Loose Leaf for one night only in Melbourne at Yah Yah’s on Saturday 22 September.
After individually gallivanting around the world in other projects, the five-piece live group of Slowcoaching are bringing it in for a special, exclusive night in their hometown. The group’s debut EP, ‘All The Same‘, will fuel the evening, as well as some sneaky new ones to look into the future.
The aforementioned EP—produced alongside longtime friend, James Freeman—encapsulates a rush of ideas, second guesses and late nights. It has spawned such amazing singles as Pillars Of Salt, Night Fiction and Fernweh. The debut offering is a diverse step forward in song construction, with a string of clever, interwinding guitars and some of the most resolute and thoughtful lyrics yet.
Joining Slowcoaching will be rising signer-songwriting savant, Ro. She’s on the precipice of greatness with BIGSOUND performances just around the corner behind her masterful single, Diary. Loose Leaf is boosting all the way from Queensland to join the lineup. This will be the band’s first interstate shows, so show them a good time and revel in their brazen live show.
