Shabazz Palaces have released “When Cats Claw”, an icy new track from the group’s forthcoming Quazarz: Born on a Gangster Star – the extra-spatial twin to Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines out Friday July 14 on Sub Pop via Inertia Music.
“When Cats Claw” was produced by Knife Knights (aka Ishmael Butler and Erik Blood), recorded and mixed by Blood at Protect and Exalt Labs: A Black Space in Seattle. The track premiered via Rolling Stone along with an in depth interview.
Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star and Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines are the follow-up and first batch of new material since the group’s critically acclaimed Lese Majesty, which was released in 2014.
