This evening, Katy will be the lead talk guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and tomorrow, May 20, she will perform as musical guest on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live.” She’ll also appear on CBS’“The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special 2017,” which will air on Monday, May 22.
Tickets for the U.S. dates of WITNESS: The Tour go on sale to the general public on Monday, May 22, with the Canadian dates on sale May 26.
The North American run will include two New York City shows – October 2 at Madison Square Garden and October 11 at Barclays Center – plus an evening at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on November 7. “Bon Appétit”, which features Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos, was co-written by Katy, Max Martin, Shellback, Oscar Holter, Ferras Alqaisi and Migos. “Bon Appétit” was #1 Most Added at Australian Radio in it’s first week. The song is now available everywhere for streaming and download.
“Chained to the Rhythm,” the first single from Witness, has now been certified Platinum in Australia and the U.S. and brings up Katy’s sixteenth Platinum or Multi-Platinum single in Australia. It reached #1 on both the Australian and U.K. airplay charts
Spotify streams of the song exceeded three million on the first day, setting an all-time record for the best first day of streaming of a single track by a female artist in Spotify history. Audio/visual streams of the single surpassed 500 million worldwide in the first 10 weeks of release.
