Counting supporters Soulection, Nightmares on Wax, Pomo, Exmag, Big Boi, Phife Dawg, DJ Spinna, and more, and collaborations with Montreal beats star Kaytrananda, Vancouver duo Potatohead People have established themselves as living legends amongst their peers. Today, the duo are back with their highly anticipated sophomore LP- Nick & Astro’s Guide To The Galaxy.

With a signature sound that can be described as a J Dilla-esque hip-hop / future electronic feel, the new album hear’s Potatohead delve in a myriad of genres including classic funk on Kayhatu collaboration “Returning The Flavour,” ultra smooth R&B with Nanna B. on stunning singles “Morning Sun” and “Change Of Heart” featuring Illa J, and 90s hip-hop flows on “All Alone” with Illa J and K-Maxx. “Liftin’ Up” featuring San Francisco’s K-Maxx ventures into West Coast boogie territories, while the album’s closer, “Rituals,” goes for a deeper more atmospheric electronic vibe. Seamlessly moving between downtempo rhythms, ambient sound, analog synth, organic instrumentation, and more, Potatohead People’s long awaited return on Nick & Astro’s Guide To The Galaxy ushers in an exciting and forward thinking new chapter in the duo’s evolving discography.
