POND will release their brand new album The Weather tomorrow on May 5th via Marathon Artists. The record–produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker–captures POND at their finest, as fresh psych-rock soundscapes envelope tales that manage to be sober, surreal, intimate, and out of this world all at the same time. At once both obsessed with today’s tumultuous global attitudes (“30000 Megatons”) and as detached from them as humanly possible (“Paint Me Silver”), The Weather provides ideal terrain for both engagement and escapism. You’ll be able to stream and purchase The Weather here. Additionally, if you’re in NYC, be on the lookout for their upcoming show at the Bowery Ballroom on May 10th to catch this new collection of songs in person.
The Weather will arrive as POND finishes up the North American leg of their world tour, which featured their debut appearance at Coachella. The guys will then embark on a run of European dates, including their largest UK headline show to date at The O2 Forum in London. POND will return to the UK later this summer to play Reading and Leeds Festivals and End of the Road Festival. See below for all remaining tour dates.
