How did you start?
I started with music lessons when I was a young teenager but only when I was 18 or 19 started to play records and djing and I never stopped since.
What’s news with your own labels Welt Recording and NG Trax?
I’m focusing more and more on the new label I launched 2 years ago, NG TRAX is like a new baby and I am still forming it. Plenty of interesting artists are joining the label such as Vincentiulian, Vinyl Speed Adjust, Halo Varga & Petar Cvetkovic… just to name a few. My label Welt recording I am sort of putting on the shelf for now. For now I feel much more connected to my new project.
What are you working on at the moment?
I have just released on Get Physical label and finished quite few remixes. At the moment I’m working on another remix and a full EP for Fuse. Otherwise I try not to be so much in the studio during the summer.
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
Cooking and photography are the things I really enjoy. But the inspiration for music can come from anywhere or anything, not just from the things I like.
How would you describe your production process?
I usually start to play around with the instrument – like a drum machine or synth. Then I start to loop some of them and record others… until I find an interesting loop. On top I add melody or sound effects.
Do you know any music theory?
I knew music theory when I was going to my piano lessons but have forgotten most of it by now. What are your plans for the future? I am currently planning an NG Trax Label showcase. We aim to do much more parties abroad, besides having out residency in the Ibiza Underground club. My plan is to invite the talented crew from the label like Brett Jacobs, Vinyl Speed Adjust, Shoxy, Dubsons, Kevin Cook, …. And also I want to add artists I like personally to create a special vibe.
How did you get into music?
My father was a musician and he taught me to play on his guitar but I was straight away into keyboards and piano.
What are you listening to at the moment?
Lots of different music, but concentrating more on tracks I receive from the producers I know and on the selection for playing and releasing on the label.
Who are your top 5 influences and icons?
UR, Jeff Miles, Villalobos, Luciano, Zip as artists and definitely the label Perlon.
When and where are you playing next?
I am returning to Ibiza a lot in the summer months, but I have some interesting gigs coming up – really looking forward to the Modernity Cruise as it has such a nice line up and also to my upcoming gigs in Zurich and Slovenia. It’s always nice to return.
