Brooklyn-by-Omaha’s Navy Gangs have unveiled their debut album ‘Poach’, 35-minutes of mega-hook guitars, vocals The Fader say “ooze right into your soul”, and fuzz organs. Out now via Dinosaur City Records and Modern Sky USA, it’s a highly anticipated follow-up to 2016’s self-titled EP.

Praised by the likes of The FaderStereogum and Les Inrocks (France’s largest rock music mag), the band has also been nodded by a slew of blogs and added to rotation on radio stations across Australia, New Zealand and the States (including 2SER, Most FM, RadioActive, Radio Control and Breakthru Radio) who’ve applauded the band’s intricate guitars, unreserved vocals, and DIY ethos. Poach has also just been added to FBi Radio, as Packet Album, so tune into 94.5FM over the next couple of months to hear much more of them!

In 2018, Navy Gangs have perfected their live performance with over 30 consecutive dates across the States, shared bills with Father/Daughter’s Anna McLellan, and slots at this year’s SXSW, prompting New York’s Breakthru Radio to say “they play their songs like they’ve been hits for decades”. Navy Gangs have just also announced a record release show at Baby’s All Right, on August 22nd, 2018.

We are also excited to announce our next showcase, in collaboration with Flying Nun (NZ) for this years King Street Crawl, featuring Goon Sax, Wax Chattels (NZ), Sunscreen, Bored Shorts, V.I.P.P., Hugh M. Hominid (whose incredible live tape is set to be our next release!) and Dinosaur City Records co-director, Cody Munro Moore. RSVP here.
