How did you first start playing music?

As a kid I was always just writing music. Like everyone says, it’s a good form of self expression. Like it really is! But I never really knew what I was doing at school, and music was teaching me more than school ever was.. So it got to that point later on in my life after a lot of trial and error where I kinda had to work out what I wanted to do. I was surrounded by some like minded people at the time and I bought a recording set up for us to just experiment with music and before I knew it, I was hooked. It’s been the only thing in my life that has really made sense and I have stuck too!

What’s been happening recently?

Recently I dropped my single ‘HOP OUT’ which has been mad cool, and I’m very grateful for all the support it’s received. Other than that, just lots of planning for future releases and setting more goals for myself.

Your latest single ‘Hop Out’ is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting?
Tbh it’s a combination of like funk,pop and trap.

I was having a very nostalgic era at the time listening to 2000’s like Rihanna classics, so I would say that’s a little influence but it’s definitely a combination of many things I feel

How did you approach the songwriting process?

It’s different every time, I don’t have a “go to” procedure. But generally speaking I take a particular mood/experience I’m currently in and try to expand that over an entire song. I like to be myself most of time when I’m writing, so I might lay down like the hook at the studio, but then I go home a delve deeper into the writing and then get it done on the next session.

Where and when did you record/produce/master and who with?

So i went away to this air bnb with my live band just to have fun,jam and come up with some new sounds ! We made a load of beats and this one was one of them . No one even really remembers making it but when we got back, I was going through the folder and stumbled across it! I was instantly hooked and the song just came together. The production was done by SANI and it was mixed/mastered by IconicBeats.

Please tell us about your live shows and any that you have coming up:

I love live shows, it’s such an awesome experience every time playing them. I have played at some pretty cool Melbourne venues like crown, prince band room, Evelyn hotel etc.. but I’m trynna book some interstate shows soon ! Just getting together a nice set list firstly I put together a live band for my shows too and then kinda couldn’t do anything with it because of lockdown but I’m super keen to get back into it!

Who are you listening to at the moment?

At the moment, Artists like Steve Lacy, Duckwrth some Aminé, Isaiah rashad but I always have time for them big classics like Prince, Rihanna, Anderson Pak etc..

What do you like to do away from music?

Go to some cool spots with a nice coffee and just appreciate the present moment, life is super busy and it’s easy to forget to just live in the present moment, but I’m thinking of getting into roller blading soon lmao.

What’s planned for the remainder of 2021 going into 2022?

The rest of this year for me is just getting everything organised for next year. I’m planning to put out 2/3 singles and then a experimental EP later on in the year, but just taking it as it comes for now because things might change.

Favourite food and place to hangout?

Right now my favourite food would be any form of Asian cuisine. They just have so many options especially for vegetarians.
I don’t really have a hang out spot as I’m always moving around, but as long as I’m with my friends it’s a vibe. Home is where the heart is.
