The Million are taking a trip around NSW with shows in Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast & Wollongong to celebrate the release of their latest single ‘Last Call’. A track that draws on ‘80s synth-pop & leaps along at a heart-raising tempo. It’s a heartbreak anthem but the sounds are liberating, leaving all bad feelings on the dancefloor. Added to triple j, ‘Last Call’ has received support from Apple Music playlists – Breaking Pop, Wake Me Up, New Music Daily – and Spotify’s All New Rock, Pop n Fresh, Indie Arrivals and Come Thru. They most recently released a ‘chilled’ version of the track which premiered on Purple Sneakers. It follows on from singles ‘Somebody Better’ – a track grounded in funk & RnB sensibilities, while remaining fundamentally pop – and last year’s release ‘Check Up’, a left-field pop earworm. In late 2020, The Million supported indie-pop artist Sloan Peterson and quickly sold out two seated headline shows, welcoming them back to the stage after a brief break, thanks to the global pandemic. Like most, they have a whole year of ideas and the ‘Last Call’ tour is the band’s first opportunity to really express their live show and new tunes to fans since the sold out ‘Somebody Better’ tour in 2019. With a reputation as a must-see live act, The Million are a band arriving at a point of true transparency with their growing fanbase both online and IRL.
