How did you start?
went into a small record shop in 1990 in my rather small home town and was exposed to this thing called house music. djing and producing were a logical consequence and followed shortly after that.
Where are you currently based?
berlin since 2015.
Please give an example of your music creation process?
i´m in the studio and start. with anything – some drums or a synth. i got some nice synths and they are very inspiring. you start with something and the rest follows. usually all programming/composing is done within 1-3 hours. rest of the time is arrangement, fine tuning and mixing.
What are you working on right now?
just started a remix for an indie band yesterday and it sounded really nice when i left. but maybe i´m hating it when i turn it back on today – you never know!!

What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
love to eat/cook, travelling (but thats music related), love red wine.
Do you know any music theory?
a little bit. only took courses sporadically and always stopped because i couldnt motivate myself to practise. always regretting it but thats how it is. basically learned everything by myself.
What are your plans for the rest of 2017?
really looking forward to my upcoming australia tour in november/december as i love this country and always have the best time. 3 weekends we have so far. musically i am trying to gain control over my perfectionism and release some of the stuff i am doing for a change 😉
How did you get into music?
my mum is a very music loving person so i think that was the genetic part. my first big love was the police whom i followed madly. then the older brother of a friend started doing mixtapes with imported rnb boogie 12 inches in the mid 80s which put me in touch with this kind of music for the first time. and then i heard th first de la soul,tribe called quest, soul2soul, ten city on mtv which really got me into it.
What are you listening to at the moment?
was just listening to a playlist i made on spotify over the last months with artists like floating points, taylor mcferrin, KING, andy shauf. especially the „for marmish“ track by floating points is so incredible … it literally made me cry in the studio yesterday.
