Actress and musician Lola Kirke shared the video for her song “Not Used” today viaLenny Letter; the clip was directed by and stars her sister, actress Jemima Kirke. On “Not Used,” Lola sings about learning to live with a lover’s absence, and Jemima says, “Those transitional, soul-level-change moments we experience are never dramatic. Epiphanies don’t really happen. They’re a myth. Real transformation is boring and uncomfortable, like working out on your birthday when you have no plans. Change slips in unnoticed while you’re busy trudging through something pretty unremarkable.”

Lola Kirke’s self-titled debut EP is a collection of four beautifully plaintive songs that she brands as “Cosmic American,” bolstered by her gentle guitar melodies and smoky vocals. It is available now on SpotifyiTunes, and Bandcamp via Spirit House Records.
