What is your name and role within Lines?
Nisse and I’m the drummer.
Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?
We are Stockholm based and I think the music scene is blooming right now. It’s so inspiring, there’s a new artist around every corner. I’m also enjoying Stockholms underground scene, even though the cops don’t, and do their best to shut down every party. Coming in like a donald duck swat team and making fools out of themselves.
Your new single ‘People’ was released last month featuring Adele Kosman, please tell us what influenced the sound and songwriting for this track:
That iconic scene from Titanic where Kate is doing her Jesus Christ pose, but on top of a truck fully loaded with explosives going 150mph with no breaks.
What is the message behind ‘People’?
Actually we only wrote that song to get a record deal.
Your second single ‘You’ has amassed over 6 million plays on Spotify, what do you attribute to the success of ‘You’ ?
It’s a great song that stays on your mind, all the fucking time.
You’re playing in Sweden this month, what do you have planned for this show?
We’re planning on trampolines, I’m not just a great drummer I’m also a very talented tightrope dancer that spent my early years on a circus. We also have three of Stockholms most interesting artists to join us, Lizette Lizette, Adele Kosman and COBRAH. It’ll definitely be a night to remember.
Where will you be touring in the months to come?
Right now we have a full schedule with writing, producing and making new videos. Hopefully we go touring in the spring, can’t wait to show our songs for the world.
Who or what influences your sound and songwriting?
Next question please.
Who are you listening to at the moment?
A combination of a crying child from outside the window and my upstairs neighbours having an argument. Trying to drown that with my Spotify playlist containing Dolores Haze new album and the debut single from Cobrah. There’s also some Yaeger in the mix, she’s great.
Besides the music, please tell us about the further creative extent of the Lines project:
Early next year we’ll launch a new campaign which will change the world as we know it. We’ll be introducing a product that contains the latest in digital thinking with old school economics. It will knock you of your feet and hopefully BLOW. YOUR. BRAINS. OUT.
Please tell us about future planned releases:
There’s an EP coming early next year but first we’re releasing a christmas best of album.
What do you like to do away from music?
I’m really into car tires atm, my favourite is a classic 235/55/R18 Scorpion Verde from the italian company Pirelli.
Favourite food and place to hangout?
Love this new joint in Stockholm, “Put the lime in the coconut”. Super good food, board games and the best drinks. We always meet up and play some Shuffleboard before we hit the clubs.
