Today sees the release of a new single from the rapper Kyle Bent. “Lifestyle (feat. Joyner Lucas)” is now available to stream and share. Of the track Bent notes, “A lifestyle is something that’s unique to an individual person. Not everyone’s gonna have the same type, so I made a song celebrating the one that I’ve been blessed with because you never know what things could’ve been. There was good synergy in the studio when me and Joyner were coming up with this track. It was definitely one of the more energizing studio sessions I’ve had. I think this a good anthem track for anyone who wants to big up their lifestyle. No need to compare to anyone else, just appreciate what you got. The pros, cons and all. New England needed this.”
“Lifestyle (feat. Joyner Lucas)” was recorded at HHIL studios by Canis Major. It is the follow up to Bent’s “Just A Little Bit” which led Impose to say “Kyle Bent is definitely an artist to watch out for.”
Kyle Bent was born in Jamaica but raised outside Boston. The 19 year old rapper has been honing his freestyle and songwriting skills since elementary school. At the age of 12 he was introduced to his current music engineer, Tarik McFarland, who saw Kyle’s potential and took him under his wing. It was 2014’s highly acclaimed music video, “Mind Control” that put Bent on the map. Hip Hop DX noted, “…the burgeoning wordsmith proves he’s a little ahead of his peers with insightful lyrics and hard-hitting messages revolving around perseverance.” Following the release of the acclaimed track “Higher Power,” Kyle signed with Made In The Shade Records. Since then, Kyle Bent has released numerous tracks and mixtapes and headlined at countless venues and music festivals. Ultimately, as an artist, Kyle Bent wants to transcend all boundaries and stigmas that surrounded rap music. His focus is to pen lyrics that impact the listener.
