KIDSWASTE RELEASES NEW SINGLE “FADE” FEATURING HUNTING STORIES Out now on Counter Records via Inertia Music
Today, French producer Kidswaste (known as part of Slow Hours who have recently remixed Petit Biscuit and What So Not) releases his first piece of new music on Counter Records via Inertia Music. This first single “Fade” – of many to come on the label, which is home to ODESZA, RAC, Giraffage, Dak
“I met Hunting Stories around two years ago when I was just getting into producing,” says Kidswaste. “I loved their sound and told them I wanted to collaborate in the future with them once the opportunity arose. In late 2016 we revisited the idea and decided to start something. They sent me the vocals for ‘Fade’ and I instantly fell in love with it. I got most of the main ideas done in five hours, it was all really organic and it’s definitely come to be one of my proudest projects. ‘Fade’ feels really indicative of where my sound is heading and I’m really excited to share it.”
Through both his solo work and his work with production group Slow Hours, Kidswaste (Quentin Beauvois) has spent countless hours uncovering and discovering his sound, which can be described as a dance between indie, folk, electronic and pop.
His first official EP, Spleen, released in February of this year, garnered him support from VICE/Creator’s Project, Billboard, This Song is Sick, Dancing Astronaut, Nest HQ, Earmilk, Acid Stag, Pilerats and more as well as radio support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio1. The support from tastemakers is not his only support to date – as fans have proven by over 11 million streams on Spotify, 10 million streams on YouTube and 10 million streams on Soundcloud.
“Fade” marks Kidswaste’s first release on Counter Records, but it is just the beginning for this promising young producer. Expect lots of new music from Kidswaste coming soon.
