Australian Promotional Tour confirmed for late June – including a performance on The Voice Grand Finale

Today, global pop superstar KATY PERRY releases Witness, her long-anticipated fourth studio album, including the Platinum-certified hit “Chained to the Rhythm” featuring Skip Marley, current single “Bon Appétit” featuring Migos and “Swish Swish” featuringNicki Minaj.

To celebrate the release of Witness, Katy has invited fans to join her in a “WILD countdown” live and exclusively on her YouTube channel. With unique access, global reach and surprise fun packed along the way, Katy will break it all down in this exclusive album event, and if you stick around long enough, there might just be fireworks. It will kick off at 1pm AEST today.

Australian fans are in for a rare treat also, with Katy confirming a whirlwind promotional tour to celebrate the release of Witness, including a performance on Channel 9’s The Voice Grand Finale. She will arrive in Australia at the end of June, and has already vowed to “have some beer, some meat pies, and some Tim Tams, and oh yeah, talk about some new songs!”

Katy delivered an impassioned speech at the ‘One Love Manchester’ Charity Concert last weekend, performing hits such as ‘Part Of Me’ and ‘Roar’. Watch HERE

Ahead of the release of Witness, Katy has appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, performed as musical guest on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live”, joined James Cordon for “The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special 2017” and graced the stage at the Brit Awards and the Grammys.

Current single “Bon Appétit”, which features Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos, was co-written by Katy, Max Martin, Shellback, Oscar Holter, Ferras Alqaisi and Migos. “Bon Appétit” was #1 Most Added at Australian Radio in its first week. “Chained to the Rhythm,” the first single from Witness, has now been certified Platinum in Australia and the U.S. and brings up Katy’s sixteenth Platinum or Multi-Platinum single in Australia. It reached #1 on both the Australian and U.K. airplay charts. Spotify streams of the song exceeded three million on the first day, setting an all-time record for the best first day of streaming of a single track by a female artist in Spotify history. Audio/visual streams of the single surpassed 500 million worldwide in the first 10 weeks of release.
