Where are you currently based?
Im currently based in my hometown Stockholm, Sweden. But during the summer months I’m usually based in Ibiza.
You’ve Just finished you 6th Ibiza residence, how were the shows this year?
The techno scene feels larger than ever and it shows on the island. The best nights are without a doubt the underground themed nights and clubs. And the support has been great.
Have you noticed a difference between the shows/crowds/venues this year as compared to previous years?
Yes, every year keeps getting better and better. I played the Resistance Arcadia Spider at Ultra in Miami this year which was insane.
This European autumn, until February 2018 you will have you first residence in Stockholm, where will will you playing?
It’s a monthly residence at Solidaritet in Stockholm. There aren’t many techno clubs in central Stockholm but that’s slowly changing. It’s always nice when I don’t have to travel too far for a gig, especially since i haven’t really played in Sweden that much previously.
How did this residence come about?
Earlier this year they started a smaller techno room called Moon, people are loving it and it’s got a great reputation. I played there as a trial before the summer and we decided to make it a monthly thing in the main room.
How will you approach these shows?
It’s already an amazing residence. It’s also the perfect spot to try out new music which means that the sets are all very different.
At the moment you in the in studio mode and preparing for the release of you first original tracks, what’s influencing your song writing?
It’s usually just a feeling. I try to recreate the vibe I want during my sets whilst I’m producing. I’ve been in the studio for years but previously I’ve been too critical about my work to share it.
Where are you recording/producing?
I have a studio at home, but i also go to my friends studio to really focus and get some great feedback.
Will you be releasing on a label?
Yes. Ill be releasing on a brand new Stockholm label called Deep By Dawn started by DJ/Producer Albin Myers. I’m their first signed artist and on the 3rd of November I’ll be releasing my first Original track.
What equipment / programs do you use?
I’m a little bit all over the place, i use both Mac and Pc, Logic and FL studio. I recently got some new Genelec Monitors and play around on all sorts of different keyboards depending on where i am and what i bring with me.
Who are you listening to at the moment?
I listen to as many DJs/producers as i can, mostly live sets from my favourite festivals. For me it’s the best way to find new favourites. And i always try to watch the performers before and after my sets.
What has been your favourite show of the year?
Show wise, the Arcadia Spider at Ultra. But crowd wise it’s Ants at Ushuaia, Ibiza for sure.
Favourite food and place to hang out?
I don’t drink alcohol so i actually have a cheeseburger with fries on my rider. My favourite place is probably anywhere in Ibiza.
When and where are you playing next?
Actually in Stockholm for my residence.
