Well, it has been one hell of a debut year for Brisbane-based folk/ roots singer-songwriter Jordan Merrick. This debut year has seen Merrick release two EP’s; have a number of east-coast tours; receive a heap of national radio (ABC Radio, Double J and Triple J) and community radio support, hitting number one in the AMRAP regional charts with single ‘Gypsy Diver’; his debut single ‘Untitled #1’ released in February has now racked up 350k+ plays on Spotify; and he has supported some amazing artists such as Alex The Astronaut.
Now, when we thought this massive year was coming to a close, Jordan Merrick announces he is supporting the Aria award winning Mia Dyson at Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on the 8th of December. Tickets available here: https://tinyurl.com/y7jzprta.
Merrick is truly honoured to be supporting the Blues/ Americana singer-songwriter, Mia Dyson, who has toured with the likes of Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, Chris Isaak and Joe Cocker.
It really does go to show what an amazing debut year Jordan Merrick has had, especially considering the trauma of a debilitating back and neck injury – the reason for the sophomore EP entitled ‘Songs From House Arrest’ that was only released on October 20 [listen here].
Merrick will wrap up this fantastic year with this show he will no doubt remember throughout the rest of his career, ahead of a bright 2018.
