JOAQUIN LEES UNVEIL ETHEREAL ELECTRONIC DEBUT ‘NIGHTS’

Shimmering through the twilight, Brisbane based pop and electronic duo Joaquin Lees shine bright on their ethereal debut single ‘Nights‘.

Driven by it’s lush sonic flowerbed, singer Roy Gordon‘s soothing vocals glide throughout, creating the perfect sense of euphoria to ease into. Inviting listeners to unwind and mute the voices of their inner demons, Roy opens up about his own mental issues, encouraging others to show support and comfort to those who might need it.

“We are our own worst enemies and sometimes we just need someone to show us a little love and dust away the cobwebs overthinking and anxiety creates,” Roy explains.

Joaquin Lees is the collaborative project between singer-songwriter Roy Gordon and instrumentalist/producer Dan Hill. Co-produced by Graham Ritchie (Japanese Wallpaper, Holy Holy) and mixed by Simon Lam (Kllo), ‘Nights’ has been highly anticipated by the pair since their formation in 2018.

Despite this being their first release, Joaquin Lees arrive with an aptitude for creative and diverse electronic sounds. Creating warm aural tapestries which ‘Nights’ flaunts, the pair plan to build upon this across their future releases.
