Jazz Cartier + Mike WiLL Made-It Share Second Single “Make A Mess feat. Ro Ransom”
Out Now with Red Bull Sound Select
Jazz Cartier and Mike WiLL Made-It return with their second collaboration together, “Make A Mess feat. Ro Ransom,” following last week’s release of “Nobody’s Watching,” out now with Red Bull Sound Select. Listen to both tracks on Spotify, Soundcloud and Apple Musicnow.
Of working with Ro Ransom, Cartier says, “I’ve always been a fan of him. I think he’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met in my life. I’m just happy he’s a part of the story.” He goes on to describe both tracks as “cool vibes that stemmed from me and Mike’s recording session in LA a while back. Happy they’re finally out, a little something for my fans until Fleurever comes.”
“Make A Mess feat. Ro Ransom” premiered with FLAUNT, who write, “it’s safe to say that this track needs to be on your radar and played at crazy volumes as the summer wraps.” The Toronto rapper and Atlanta hit-maker dropped their first track, “Nobody’s Watching,” last week, with Zane Lowe remarking that “every record just keeps getting bigger and bigger from Jazz Cartier.” Hypebeast called it “further proof of the rising Toronto emcee’s depth and versatility.” Complex also chimed in, “Jazz is broadening his horizons a bit, and for his first collaboration with a big, buzzworthy producer has come out of the gates swinging.”

One of 2017’s most buzzed about new voices in hip hop, Jazz Cartier recently won Canada’s prestigious Juno Award for Rap Record of the Year for Hotel Paranoia. He’s been hailed as “Toronto’s next big hip-hop hero” (i-D,) named “one of six hip-hop artists to look out for in 2017” (Forbes) and “one of the leaders of a new wave in hip-hop” (Noisey). Further cementing his star status, Cartier won over countless crowds while supporting Post Malone’s national tour, and will release his long-awaited debut album Fleurever with Capitol Records.
Following releases from Montell2099 and 21 Savage, Pell with London On Da Track, Xavier Omär, Sampa the Great and Tennyson, Jazz Cartier’s release is the sixth in this year’s growing catalog with Red Bull Sound Select, joining Gallant, River Tiber, G Herbo and more. About Jazz Cartier
Dead set on becoming Canada’s next big music export, Jazz Cartier’s musical output and impact on the North American rap scene in 2016 was in simple terms, dizzying. After performing over 100+ concert dates, including sold out European concert dates, and touring as a direct support act for Post Malone’s 41-date Hollywood Dream Tour, Jazz not only lived up to the high expectations placed on him – listed as the number one ranked “Canadian artist you should know” in NYC-based hip hop bible XXL Magazine early last year – but arguably surpassed them.
Early 2017 has seen Jazz heading out to Europe for a string of tour dates in February to meet the growing audience demand on that continent. Hailed last year by London’s legendary NME as one of “five acts spearheading the Canadian music scene right now” across music genres, his tour already marks the fourth time he has toured the region in his nascent career. This year Jazz will also launch a concentrated audio assault on US commercial airwaves, beginning with his new single “Tempted” which charted on Spotify’s global Top 50 Viral chart. Jazz Cartier’s buzz will remain, as his forthcoming album is named, Fleurever.
