Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?
I live between the islands Ibiza and Mallorca. Ibiza changed a lot on last years. With not doubts it’s the place to be for electronic music, after 17 season playing in the island I can see the big changes but still being special. About Majorca, it’s more quite but there are some good clubs/events.
You have a new release Rhythm 94 coming out on Superfett Records, what influenced the sound and songwriting for this track?
I started to make a collaboration with my friend BIMI. We wanted to make a banger but with our style, very funky and with a lot of groove! I think finally we have a banger 🙂

What is your relationship with Superfett Records? 
After sent by email the demo, I received a call from label owner Nhan Solo and we started to be good friends from that day. I could feel the good vibes from him and later from all his crew.

How did you come to release with Superfett Records? 
I really like the music from the label and also from Mother Recordings. Just send the demo and I received the call from Nhan Solo.

What or who influences your sound?
All music that I listened in my life. From the old vinyl collection from my father to these days. My music have a lot influences from Funky, African Music and soul. Also fom the 4 years being the official resident DJ of Space ibiza resident and sharing the DJ both with the bigger DJs in the world.

How did you first start playing music and what brought you to this point in your career?
I started to play guitar when I was 8 years old. With 13 years old I started to play latin percussions till be a professional musician with these instruments. Later I was playing with bands around Europe. I was resident percussionist at the old Space Ibiza terrace from 2013 and I was playing with the diva Barbara Tucker every wednesday. In resume my life is music!

You recently collaborated with BIMI, please tell us how and why this collab come about?
He is a really cool guy with a lot of passion for the music. After those 2 years being friend we decided to make some beats together, we wanted make noise! He was sharing with me some projects and we decided to make a new ones together. This “Rhythm 92” track on Superfett is our first collaboration and we are really happy with the collaboration. I play this track around the world and it rocks, hope the people like it!

What do you find most rewarding and most challenging when working with other artists?
To be honest the person first. if the are good vibes between the persons the magic will happens for sure!! Always is a pleasure share time in the studio with people that love music like me. For example, with BIMI was great. Also with Huxley I’m working with some tracks together and it’s really funny!

Who are you listening to at the moment?
All music that I love… From all music of Funk, Soul… to some new electronic music. Also a lot of Hip Hop.

What do you like to do outside of music?
Not much time outside the music… lol. Travel a lot, be with family, friends and do sport. Also I love the food!

What do you have planned for the remainder of 2018 going into 2019?
Playing around the world. I have to visit on next months Australia, New Zealand, America and many cities in Eurpoe. Also I will continue playing at my residency with Space Ibiza World tour. The next gigs are in London and Sydney (Australia). Also working hard with my new label “Too Many Rules”. The label is growing up a llot and I have on board the amazing artists Huxley, Doorly, Vibe Killers, Demuir and others. Also I have upcoming releases on Mother Recordings, Cassy’s Kwench Records, Mark Farina’s Great Lakes Audio, Kerri Chandler’s Madtech, Carlo Lio & Nathan Barato’s Rawthentic, Hector Couto’s Roush label, Demuir’s Purveyor Undergorund… Feeling gratefull to live from my passion, the music!

Favourite food and place to hangout?
I like many differents types of food but I love a typical spanish food named “Huevos con patatas”. I’m in love with my roots, the Mediterranean islands (Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera and Cabrera). Other places that I love are Tokyo and Sydney.
