What is your name and role within the band? 

My name is Pablo and I am one of the guitar players of Jardin de la Croix.

How did you start?

I started playing guitar when I was in high school, a classmate that knew how to play bass and guitar taught me the basics and we started playing some alternative rock covers in his house.

Where are you based?

I live in Madrid, Spain

Please give an example of your music writing process?

We usually bring some ideas to our rehearsal place, and work together on it. We always write our music by ear!

What are you working on right now?

We are currently working on upcoming shows we are going to play this summer.

What is your gear setup?

I usually play with my Elmwood Boneville 50w head amp, a Marshal 1960 cab, and my Fender Stratocaster Deluxe guitar. My set also has a bunch of stompboxes like Boss Space Echo, OCD, Ernieball VP, MXR compressor….

What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?

I really love traveling! I am always trying to discover new spots around the world.

How would you describe your music genre?

An intense instrumental post rock with math rock and progresive rock influences.

Do you know any music theory?

I went to some private lessons in the past but I only know the basics.

What are your plans for the future?

No special plans at all! Time will tell.

How did you get into music?

I think I started loving music when I was 12 and I grabbed some old Queen and R.E.M cassettes of my parents.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Agent Fresco, Moderat, Viva Belgrado, Enemies and Mastodon new albums.

Who are your top 5 influences and icons?

 Lite, Nine inch nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Tool.

When are you playing next? 

We are playing at Primavera Sound and at Download Festival during the monh of June.
