How did you start?
I guess we’ve started like it used to be in the old school way, out of a passion for records and turntables, in the late 80’s. At the time it was surely not “fashionable”, but a true passion. We started off buying records. Lots of records…
Where are you based?
at present, Marco is based in Palermo- Italy but normally lives in Berlin, and Federico is still living and based in London.
Please give an example of your music writing process?
We don’t really have a formula, we normally start working on music out of an idea, that could be a specific sound, or a specific voice, and then we build the track around it… But again, depending on each situation. We collaborate also a lot with other artists so the production process varies every time. However, as a general rule, we tend to work separately from our own studio (marco has his studio and so does fede) and then we swap projects. Sometimes we work together, but that’s not the routine.
What are you working on right now?
a lot of projects, the “hottest” picks of the moment are: we are finishing off a remix for Deeperfect, finalising new music for Superfiction, Snatch!, and a series of collaboration with our label partner Blind Minded, + collaboration with Marko Nastic.
What is your gear setup?
We use quite a few analogue gear, but we are not too “purist”, some of our most successful music we made it ages ago just with a laptop and samples, so we are very much aware that it doesn’t really matter “how” you do it, but what you actually do.
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
We have other interests like art, sport, cinema.. and everything we do, in a a way or another, surely affects our personalities and shapes up our taste, makes us what we are.. We like soundtracks a lot, and cinematic music, some of our tracks had a massive inspiration from movies.
How would you describe your music genre?
We like to think that we do timeless electronic music, ranging from house to techno, embracing music at 360 degrees without necessarily sticking to a specify genre.
Do you know any music theory?
Yeah a little bit, but we play a lot by ears.
What are your plans for the future?
Getting married, having children… Is this what you mean? 😉
How did you get into music?
Simply by following our dreams! And specifically, moving to London in the early 2000. That was the game changer.
What are you listening to at the moment?
The sound of the waves of the Mediterranean Sea. And lots of disco, funk, classic.

When are you playing next?
Next saturday, in Magdeburg (Germany) for an art festival. And the week after we start a USA tour.
