Flinders Lane speakeasy Trinket Bar has launched the Homage Series, a two-month long summer program curated by Ben Hehir, to pay tribute to the international bar community. The series will allow Melburnians to save 24 hours of international travel to experience a menu featuring recipes straight from the bars themselves.

The Homage Series launches with a menu from London in December and a Parisian menu for January.

Melburnians will be transported to London in December and will feature the likes of the ox cheek nuggets from Hawksmoor, sausage rolls from Zetter Townhouse, gourjons from Satan’s Whiskers, Scotch eggs fromThe Princess Victoria and beef and horseradish buns from Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings.

In January, take a culinary stroll through Paris with a menu from Le Train BleuCafé des Phares and Le Bar Kebler @ The Peninsula Hotel. Aside from oysters au natural, a French cheese board and petit fours, generally found at all Parisian cafes and restaurants, diners will have the opportunity to experience a smoked salmon, beetroot and granny smith apple tartare from Le Train Bleu, a Croque-monsieur from Café des Phares and Aveyron’s duck foie gras from Le Bar Kebler.

On the drinks front, the Trinket team can further the Homage experience with a specially matched libation. For the London edition, Trinket have borrowed from Jim Wrigley of Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings for the month and will serve the Roulette, made with Monkey Shoulder, vanilla infused Campari and Mr Black coffee liqueur.

“We wanted to celebrate London, Paris and New York because they are truly diverse global cities that continue to break boundaries when it comes to food and drink,” says Ben Hehir, Trinket’s Brand Manager. “There are millions of people that visit these cities every year just to have a chance to dine at the venues in the program, so we are thrilled to be giving Melburnians a chance to experience these specialities in their own backyard”.

Each Homage menu will only be available for the month, with the London menu starting on the 01 December and the Paris menu starting 01 January. Bookings can be made via
